- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After working for the Red Cross during Hurricane Katrina, I went for a road trip with a friend for some fish tacos in Baja, Mexico. After we got our fish tacos, we decided to head north. We had a few stopping spots (including working in Yosemite for a while, which is gorgeous if you ever have the chance). While visiting a friend in San Francisco, I mentioned my desire to clean windows and, as fate would have it, her roommate had just completed a training program and been hired by a local company. He recommended the program to me and my friend from the road trip... the rest is history!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
It is truly wonderful to see people appreciating the difference in their home! This is a constant from job to job. I just completed a home that went on the market and sold immediately. I'd like to think I played a part!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are a few things to keep in mind for whoever you decide to go with. Do they clean the WHOLE window? This includes the screens, frames, sills, and tracks. Are they PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED and specialize exclusively in window washing? Do they clean both the inside and outside of the window, using a full razor on both sides? These are completely necessary for a professional window cleaner!
