We are flexible, reliable, and consistent. We always go above and beyond for our clients and develop special bonds. We have a passion for all animals and providing utmost care. We work with pet rescues and charities revolving children that help provide a better life. Jason and I have both worked in corporate positions, but have always loved being outdoors and being around animals. I love heading out in the woods to get fresh air with the most loyal of companions. We also love building relationships. We have clients that have been around since the beginning. We have helped train their puppy, learn about their family, attend their family gatherings, learn about their children's plans for the future, help with business ventures, etc.

After contacting 6 dog walkers and interviewing 3, Paws About Town was the clear choice. Here's why: 1) Great communication skills: Lauren and Jason are both incredibly responsive by text and email. You don't have to mention anything twice and when something is important they even confirm they have read it without you asking to relieve your anxiety. 2) Great with dogs. You may hear "great with dogs" about all dog walkers, but Jason clearly has an understanding of the behavioral science behind dogs and sounded more like our dog trainer than your average dog walker when we asked him what his training philosophy is. 3) Value. After considering 1) and 2) we were convinced Jason and Lauren were the best dog walkers we in our area and were near the most competitively priced. Although we pay $18 for a 30 min walk each day, Jason has taken our pup out on multi-hour journeys. 4)Experience. Unlike other dog walkers that work out of an agency and may have little experience or might walk your dog one day and then have someone else come the next, Lauren and Jason have been dog walkers for many years. The references they gave me to contact have been using them for 6+ years. 5) Good people. Jason and Lauren are by far the nicest among all the dog walkers we talked to. They were easy to talk to and I feel like I can trust them with my doggie.

We went through a few other walkers before we found Lauren and Jason, and they are far and away the best out there! Friendly, well-organized, personal, well-trained, extremely responsive, and always available to take our little pup for walks. They also provide the best bang for the buck out there! We have even used them a few times for overnights. They pick up / drop off our pup, take her to their house and let her roam. We refer to it as "The Ranch" to our pup, and it might just be her favorite place! Jason and our dog are basically best friends, he always leaves us status reports of her walks and overnights. It is so refreshing to have such a personal service, as the other places and walkers we have used have seemed anything but that. This is key for trusting someone that has access to your home, but more importantly someone that takes care of your dog!

My husband and I are so happy to have found Paws About Town! We were in a bind when our regular dogsitter had to cancel at the last-minute, and Lauren and Jay came to our rescue. They communicated clearly and promptly with us regarding the care of our two lab/hound mixes for four days and nights. Lauren really took the time to set my mind at ease, and it's clear that she and Jason just have a way with animals. While we were away, Lauren sent a couple texts and photos to assure us that our dogs were having a great time with her family. The dogs were picked up and dropped off at our home right when Lauren said they would be--no hassle, no fuss, and a reasonable price for truly exceptional dog care.

Lauren and Jason have been great- very responsive, reassuring and friendly! Having looked far and wide for good care for our pup, we are so glad to have found them. Our pup Crosby is thrilled to see Jason and comes back home happy and tired!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My husband is working with agility training and we are always familiarizing with safety and leash training, CPR, etc.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been around dogs and animals my entire life. When I was working corporate, I had to find a dog walker for my beloved Bailey. After realizing the options, I decided for Bailey's sake I needed to start my own. We also love working with rescues.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Dog walking, medication administration, boarding, vet and grooming trips.
