Introduction: The Boston Conservatory at the Berklee school of music Master 2009
The New England Conservatory Graduate Diploma 2013
The Boston University Doctoral of Music arts 2019
As a chamber and orchestra player in the greater Boston area, I have been teaching violin lessons since graduate school. Taught in several schools, both private and public in the greater Boston area, including The New England Conservatory Prep school, The Winsor School and the Chestnut Hill School. Students got in major conservatories and schools all over the US. When not teaching, I enjoy playing with orchestras like Boston Philharmonic, Boston Chamber, Boston new music initiative as well as the Tanglewood music center orchestra in Lenox Massachusetts and the Pacific music festival orchestra in Japan.
Every student is different. There are some basic patterns through out the string instruments learning curve but I believe a teacher should be sensitive about the individuality and tailor one’s teaching to different students. I value teaching solid long term basics as much as inspire them to love the instrument they picked. In the end, this is probably the most important stage in a student’s life; they could find themselves loving music and decided to become a professional musician.
