About
Hi. As an independent rabbi, I am completely open to working with Jewish, interfaith as well as non-Jewish couples. What's most important to me is that you are able to create a wedding ceremony that will truly reflect your values, goals, wishes and traditions. I am also happy to co-officiate your wedding if that's what you need. I find Judaism has great wisdom to share if you want to look for it. However, the exclusive quality of much of Jewish experience can sometimes be quite off-putting and alienating. I really strive to make everyone feel included and appreciate the beauty in Judaism without experiencing that feeling of being an outsider. The most enriching part of this work for me is helping two people who are in love find the best way to express that feeling at a critical point in their life together. Putting on a wedding can be very stressful. My goal is to make creating your ceremony as easy as possible. Together, we'll get it just right.

In our dream scenario of a “perfect wedding” we wanted first, of course, love that would last. Given that my fiancé and I we were confidently ready for married life, what else would be important to us for our wedding? We knew that we wanted to be in a place surrounded by family and close friends, with beautiful gardens, enchanted with classical music, and enriched by palpable Jewish spirit. We wanted a ceremony that would celebrate our love, nurture our Jewish souls and begin our married life with true warmth, tradition, and loving spirit. Rabbi Kenneth Hahn brought this dream to reality and we can never thank him enough! From our first meeting, Rabbi Hahn talked to us about our spiritual interests. How much tradition did we want in our ceremony, who should participate, what readings/prayers were important to us, would we recite vows or read our Ketubah, and what were our time requirements. He made sure that we had a chance to think about what was comfortable for both of us and what we might want from him. He made sure that we were going to enjoy our service. We met and talked several more times and together planned the content and logistics of the ceremony. We were totally prepared long before our actual event and this substantially reduced our stress and made the wedding something to look forward to. Rabbi Hahn successfully orchestrated our rehearsal so that our bridal party (which included teenagers and small children) would go off without problems or anxiety. Everyone was prepared and totally excited! When the actual ceremony took place, it was indeed “perfect” and magical. The love and Jewish spirit that we wanted to share was beautifully present and we felt blessed by our Rabbi, family and friends. With sincere gratitude, Sherri Meade and Ian Smith June 26, 2016

We could not have asked for a better experience with Rabbi Ken. We are so thankful that we decided to reach out. He not only acted as our rabbi during our whole wedding process, but as a true friend. He offered to help out in any way he can. He was so accommodating. Our wedding was in Quebec, about a 4 hour drive away, and he made it all work. He spent the weekend chatting with both families and really became a big part of the weekend. He was able to tailor our ceremony just the way we wanted it, with no judgement at all. Our families are still raving about the ceremony and keep mentioning how incredible Ken was. Half of the wedding was not Jewish, and Ken made sure to make everyone know exactly what was going on. He lightened the mood when needed as well. We could not have asked for a better rabbi. We now have a rabbi for life, and a true friend as well. Thank you for everything!

I cannot say enough good things about Rabbi Hahn. He was always so warm, encouraging, and supportive - both on our wedding day and the months leading up to it. He was always prompt in responding to our questions, generous with his time, and provided levity in just the right moments. Rabbi I can't thank you enough. We will always be grateful for everything you did for us and for being an important part of the best day of our lives. Anyone considering Rabbi Hahn and is reading this: do it. You won't regret it :)

It's no surprise Rabbi Ken has so many 5 star reviews! Ken is so kind, warm, and knowledgeable. He took time to get to know us and genuinely strived to make our ceremony unique and fun. He explained every ritual and customized it to our preference. He was punctual and communicative and put our nerves at bay. We cannot thank him enough for his guidance, time, patience, and amazing service!

Having Rabbi Ken officiant our wedding was a major highlight of our entire wedding experience. We found him through reviews on the Wedding Wire and are so happy that we did. We live out of state, so had two extensive phone conversations with him, followed by an over 2-hour meet up during a time that we were in Boston. Ken really got to know us and asked the “right” questions to be able to put together a beautiful and personal ceremony that was customized exactly how we wanted it to be. We included a few Jewish traditions- I am Jewish and my husband is not - and Ken explained everything as it was happening so the half of our guests who weren’t Jewish weren’t completely confused. He tied in some light humor, which kept us, and our guests entertained and laughing. Our guests are still raving about the ceremony he officiated and many of my family members have said that they wish they had a Rabbi like Ken in their life- we are so happy that we do now! We truly loved everything about working with Ken!
