John is extremely tenacious about his work but ever so pleasant in his personality. He understood exactly what I wanted and delivered it on time and on our agreed budget. My floor was in the kitchen area and he worked around cabinets and a center island perfectly resulting in a new looking floor. It was about 20 years old and was a Bruce factory finished oak which had worn in several places of high traffic. He was able to make it look brand new again and was able to match the color to compliment the cabinets. He was here all five days, calling each time to ensure I knew the time he quoted the day before, to confirm. He made me feel like he was my best friend doing me a favor more than a contractor just hired for a job. Cannot recommend him enough!

John with Marks hardwood floors was incredible - I can’t say enough positive about him- right on time, so hard working, project moved ahead right as planned (and stayed on track even when we found some surprises under the old wall to wall carpet), he kept me posted on progress and was always responsive. He is the best, he made my project so easy. He does hardwood floors and so much more. I have recommended him to so many people!!! John is professional and nice. He is good at making the stairs seamless and matching the staining color with the floor. When he installed the first step and did not like the size (that I didn't even realize) so he took time to replace it. He used the highest quality product as well. If you need a delicate quality job, go with him.
