FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read everything I can on AP and Chicago styles; study blogging and Web site content writing styles; keep up with the new terminology in various career fields. I'm a member of the Boston Authors Club; a charter member of the Professional Association of Resume Writers; and a member of the International Artists and Writers Guild.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I won several prizes for my fiction and non-fiction work in school and college. And one day, I had walked into a resume writing business in the 80s to have a resume done, when the owner saw what I had jotted down, smiled and hired me on the spot! I just fell into it and I've been writing resumes and cover letters ever since. However, I have not neglected my fiction/non-fiction writing, ghostwriting for clients, copy editing and proofreading, and all the newspaper and magazine articles I'm called on to do.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Copy editing, proofing, ghostwriting e-books and articles, resumes and cover letters. I also do interview coaching to give them a comfort and confidence level to help them through the actual interview.
