About
Hello! My name is Jamie, and I am a professional dog walker based in Somerville, MA. I provide responsible pet care while you are at work or away on vacation. I understand that pets are like family. I want to make sure your pet is cared for while you are away, just as you would care for them yourself. I make sure I know your dogs' little quirks before our very first walk. If their scared of blowing leaves, butterflies, or lawn mowers, I want to know! I work with each pet owner to customize the perfect walk or activity to meet their pets' exercise needs. I hope to get to know you and your dog and break up their day with a walk around the neighborhood, playtime at the dog park, or a hike at Blue Hills! My services are as follows: * Dog Walking * Solo Strolls * Group Walks * Dog Park Visits * 2-4 hour hikes at Blue Hills Pet sitting services are as follows: * In-home pet sitting for all varieties of pets * Feeding, water changing, litter box cleaning, walking, medication administration, and of course, playtime

Jamie has only been walking my dog for a few weeks, but so far, I've found her to be very reliable. She sends me pictures of each walk, which I love, and Ellie seems to really like her. I'd definitely recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly dog walker.

I've lived in Boston for about 2 years now and have had my fair share of dog walkers over that time for my Alaskan Malamut Pickles. By far Jamie has been the best one yet! I've had her take Pickles out on private and group lessons and both times she comes back feeling refreshed and happy. She always eats a great dinner and falls asleep easy after a walk with Jamie. Jamie is also really great at learning the personality of each dog. She knows what they like on private lessons and knows what dogs to pair together for group walks, which is always reassuring! Jamie also always makes sure to give Pickles great exercise. Sometime she even takes her for hikes which I strongly recommend if you have a strong, high energy dog like mine! Overall, in my opinion Jamie is one of the best dog walkers in Boston and I highly recommend her to walk your dog. You won't regret it.

Jamie is an excellent caretaker for my 2 year old black lab. She has always shown up in a timely manner and has cared for Jovie like she was her own. Jovie loves her hikes and loves trips to the dog park to meet up with other friendly dogs. I would highly recomend Jamie.

Jamie is an incredibly reliable and professional employee. You can always rely on her to do the best job possible, and everything that she does, she does with care and consideration. She has a true passion for animals and treats every pet as if it is her own. Anyone who works with her is lucky to do so.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

After leaving the business world I decided to start spending my time with animals and outdoors. I couldn't think of a better way to spend by days.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I primarily do private or small group walks (2-3 dogs). I also am available for in home pet sitting while you are away for a day or extended period of time.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I love taking dogs on longer 2-4 hour trips to the hiking trails at Blue Hills. I keep it to 1-3 dogs per trip and keep them on long leads so they can explore and feel free while remaining safe.
