FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There are two major conferences (Twist and Shout and The Florida Super Jam) each year and smaller ones. Also there are educational dvds and books, web resources and just old fashioned face-to-face learning.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently had a gig at the University of New England which I was a little worried about since it was college students and they can be a mixed bag. It went great though. There was a line the whole event and I had some great conversations with future doctors, marine biologists, physical therapists and other wicked smart science students.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Whenever hiring an entertainer ask for references or for a background check to have been done. Thumbtack has done a background check on me and I can also always give references as to my ability and character. If someone can provide these, you may want to re-think hiring them. I also ask that there is always a trusted adult - parent, family member, or staff person - within eyesight of myself and any children at all times for the protection of the performer and the clientele this is just a best practice to follow.
