Act One provided us with a deep clean of our marble tile, focusing largely on our grout. We had a large area that needed cleaning with some really bad spots. There were a few different options of what we could do with various price points. The team got the job done under the original estimate.

Clay did a fantastic job restoring my parents bathroom floor by removing the stick down tiles and adhesive glue and then cleaning the classic basket weave ceramic tole to its original beauty! Highly recommend Act One!!

Excellent workmanship. Our job required two planned visits. Arrived on time for each appointment and sent text reminders in advance. Repaired tile in one bathroom and regrouted two stall showers. We were very happy with the work.

I didn't end up going through with the job...but that was due to the incredible helpfulness and honesty of Clay at Act One. He shared what the problem was, and that it would likely reoccur. He could have easily sold me on his service, but instead educated me. Would be great if all companies acted as honorably as this one does!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most quotes are firm. No extras. Don't you hate when contractors add on money for seemingly no reason? We do, too. The only time we charge more than our written quote is if you ask us to do more work. Even then, we'll let you know what the total is before the work, so you can decide if you'd like to proceed or not.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Many jobs can be quoted with a few photos of the surface you'd like to have worked on. A brief phone conversation is usually a good idea, to make sure we're on the same page.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Stone restoration classes run by Maurizio Bertoli of MB Stone, world famous marble restorer. Tile installation class at the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation facility in South Carolina. Certified in Stone, Masonry and Tile by the IICRC, Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. Certified Document Technologist, a designation by the Construction Specifications Instititute.
