- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In a large advertising agency setting, where I spent the first third of my career, my writing and concept development services would run up to $450 per hour. Because I am now a freelancer with no agency overhead, I offer my services at prices ranging from $100 to $150 per hour. In special cases I offer deeper discounts. I also work on a flat-fee basis.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Ask questions, questions, questions. Listen, listen, listen. Think, think, think. Create, create, create. Review. Revise as needed. (This is generally my process when working with existing clients, too.)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The sum total of everything I've learned in life, formally and informally, deliberately and accidentally, is relevant to writing and the creative process.
