Either he was under-qualified to do this type of work, or was trying to squeeze us for money. He initially was supposed to fix our toilet, and we learned days later he did that improperly. He then theorized the issue (sewer smell) was coming from other places. He started cutting into our walls (poorly and incorrectly) telling us that this will find the problem. It did not. He cut a piece out of our floor joist. We brought other plumbers in, who could not believe what he did. They instantly starting saying he had no clue what he was doing and should never had done any of this. This is when we learned the toilet was never properly fixed and was now leaking; he made it worse. He continually was pushing us to re-pipe our entire home and only his buddies could fix the walls. I can only theorize that he was either deliberately creating havoc to convince us to re-pipe the whole house, or he was so under-qualified for this type of job that he should have never been listed as a professional. We also learned he was not licensed in our state, which we were very unhappy that he hid that from us.
