There are not enough amazing things I could say about Votary Media. I run a small startup elementary school and we had always wanted to showcase the incredible work of our students and teachers but we didn't have much of a budget for it and were always cautious to bring cameras around the learning enviornment. When I first reached out on a whim, Jed made time immediately for a phone call and listened intently to my vision and our goals of the short film. He was upfront about pricing and Votary definitely went out of their way to be mindful of our tight budget. During our phone call, Jed asked me questions about our school, our mission, what's important to us, and also about the level of direction and input we wanted. We had a pretty clear vision, but were honest that we would love feedback on our scripting and overall layout. We were assigned to Ben who was wonderful. Both he and the camera lead were so great with our students and made them and the teachers feel comfortable, valuable to the overall project, and confident. Despite all of their equipment, you could barely tell they were extra bodies in our building because they integrated themselves into our community so seamlessly. The team stayed the entire day and tried different spots and shoots until they felt they had gotten the best ones. I can honestly say we were, and continue to be, blown away by the finished product. Our students' families, our teachers, and most of our team felt overwhelmed (most moved to tears) with joy. From start to finish (of this project - we will CERTAINLY be using them for every project moving forward), Votary media handled our project with care, respect, professionalism, and skill. We are so grateful that we found Votary and I would highly suggest them to anyone looking for any of their film, photography, or production needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually someone finds us on online because they already know they need a specific type of video. That's great! We can help with that! First we get to know the customer, the brand, style, values, needs, and goals. Once we have a clear understanding of these important areas we brainstorm about content ideas with the customer and then move forward into production.
What types of customers have you worked with?
U.S. Army, Reebok, American Heart Association, Harpoon Brewery, Akai, WPI, MIT, Fidelity Investments, PWC, Harvard Business, FLEXcon, Etc.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
What types of films are we most fond of? That's like asking a parent which is their favorite kid... :) We love documentary and scripted narrative. Brand stories are usually documentary. Commercials are usually scripted. Both are fun for different reasons!
