Introduction: Because I take all the time needed to get the job done at no extra charge. My checklist is extensive and simply takes time to complete -- this includes studying event logs for issues that are fixable and would otherwise implode on the customer's PC if they are not addressed. I leverage tools only used by the most knowledgeable troubleshooting experts (autoruns, procexp, procmon, etc.) because I have mastered these tools and understand how Windows works under the hood. I never use free malware removers, because these fall short of the mark (which requires painstaking and expert manual intervention) and these tools are for amateurs and for generating business for their respective companies. My competitors lull you into a false sense of security in that they think (and want you to think) they got the job done when they only scratch the surface of a much-needed extensive checkup. Eventually, an advanced persistent malware will rear it's ugly head and you'll wonder what really happened: did my competitor miss something or did something come in since they finished their work. Since I also focus on training, you will learn enough to never get in trouble again. All for a very low flat fee. Helping and teaching people. Steering people away from purchasing a new PC or were quoted steep prices to fix their PCs. Helping people who innocently get lured into an unwanted program download that is rearing it's ugly head and causing them a lot of frustration. I enjoy communicating with people and mentoring them such that they both understand how they got into trouble and how to nearly permanently prevent it from happening again. Relying on your anti-virus and scanners will only find 50% of malware since the other 50% are "in the wild" (new) and will take 8 to 12 weeks to be detected. Every virus I have removed was undetected by the mainstream anti-virus running on the PC which is further proof the bad guys are ahead of your typical Thumbtack professional and are well aware what tools are being used -- but my motto to those viruses are: you can run but you can't hide from Computer Repair Genies ).
