Charlie and his crew were on time, professional, and most important fast. I was out of my 2 bedroom apt on the 4th floor in less than an hour. Note I did not have an elevator available and he still made it happen. I will definitely be using and recommending these guys again.
We had a wonderful experience with EJ Painting. From the first meeting of giving us a walk through quote until the last walk through to show us all of the work that was completed Erick was professional and thorough. The price was more than fair and the work was top notch. Erick even went above and beyond when he saw things he could fix around the house. We had an entire main floor painted and I will not hesitate to have EJ come back in a few months to do all of the bedrooms and bathrooms on the second floor.
Remberto and his crew were great. He removed a popcorn ceiling from our apt (1,400 sf) patcjed and smoothed and sanded it and left it ready for the painters. He even did extra work because our existing ceilings are not great. They were experienced and knew just what to do and had all the equipment needed. They protected our new floor and our walls and cleaned up very well. I had the greatest confidence because they new how to tackle the problem. I appreciated that Remberto was able to fit us in and his crew was able to work quickly, it only took 3 days. We will definitely hire Remberto again if we need other work!
Had a new shower done... all new tile to the ceiling and tile floor. New shower door and faucet too. Everything looks beautiful.
Patrick has completed multiple projects for me from laying my hardwood, polished porcelain flooring, exceptional with painting without using painters tap to plumbing. He is reliable and gets the job done! Thanks Patrick!
We absolutely loved working with José and his team to tile our basement floor with ceramic wood-looking tile, expose a brick wall, and install new toilet and a wall-mounted sink. He works FAST and within budget. Extra things we needed done were added at very reasonable extra expense ($40-60 to repair an unexpected drywall hole behind a mirror). His team does beautiful work, and José made sure every bit of trash or demo material was taken away. They also went above and beyond to make things look nice. For example, I don't think they charged me extra when they plastered around our baseboards and it looks soooo much better! They also patched a little hole left by a past electrician's job. They took extra good care of our space as if it was their own home. We also like that he respected our desire to further finish our space ourselves ( we are ok with doing our own painting). I can't say enough good things. We will definitely hire José and Brandon Contracting for our next job.
Best painters around. Very friendly. Reasonably priced and team is absolutely amazing at what they do.
Did a whole house painting for a rental property of mine, and did a great job. He was very responsive, prompt, and made it easy to be offsite and know the job was in good hands!
Super team of painters! Excellent workmanship! Among the best I have ever seen. Tidy, polite, and on time. We are exceptionally pleased with their service and skill. Highly recommendable!
Months ago, I looked for someone to do a small painting project on Thumbtack. And I ended up with a brand new home. Christian, Jessica, Hector and the rest of the team at 5th Gen Group honestly do miracles. We own a 100+ year old row home in Washington DC and we've had problems ever since we moved in five years ago. After dealing with four different contractors that left me unsatisfied, I tried Thumbtack (at that time, new in the DC area). Christian came out to do an estimate and I was impressed by him from the get go - as a woman, I hate when contractors act like I'm stupid or uninformed. Christian never did that, and he answered all my questions respectfully and thoroughly and would defer to my wishes. We initially contracted for a gut remodel of our ancient kitchen and leaking bathroom. Christian's professional opinion was heavily appreciated as well as his vision - he instantly "got" the feel of a space and spent a lot of time listening to not only what we wanted, but how we would use the space and what we planned for the house in the future. Of course, the best laid plans always go awry - we knew our house had a few "handyman specials" but once Christian opened up the floor in the kitchen, we realized we were really in for it. Down there was a hidden mess of rotting wires, missing piping, garbage from the last renovations, and rotted-out beams. Overnight, our budget doubled. I personally wanted to die. But Christian calmly lead us through the process, helped us try to salvage our murdered budget, and focused on explaining the trade-off in home values. We ended up with an additional half bath downstairs (because really, what was another 5K at that point?), brand new kitchen (with a small bar!) a brand new stairwell and relocated laundry room, and a brand new bathroom with a shower (after 5 years of an ancient leaking cast iron tub). Christian isn't completely perfect - he's totally a perfectionist, and if you are one too, be prepared for some long conversations. There is an epic texting exchange over the bathroom tile that I may print out just to see how long it really was. But that's about the only thing. Also, for the other ladies on here- I always hate opening my home to someone because I have had bad experiences with contractors who were, at best, creepy. Christian and Hector were completely professional, and they really went the extra mile to make sure I always knew who would be in the house, when they would arrive, and how to reach both of them. Christian also has a lot of loyalty and integrity toward his clients - he is always fair, both in pricing and in the treatment of your home. He broke a small appliance - the only reason I knew was because he called me when he was purchasing an (upgraded) replacement on his own dime. All renovations are hard projects, long projects, and frequently frustrating. There was definitely a day when I wanted to kill Christian for sending me out to two different quarries in far out Virginia right around rush around. But when I stepped into my home for the first time, I couldn't stop smiling. And when we finally scrape together the budget for a third floor extension, I know exactly who I am calling.
Within a week of Sandy and Jeff coming to my house to see what I wanted to have repaired/replaced, they were back with workers to get the job done. The back inside and storm doors were replaced--they found rotted wood when they removed the old doors and fixed that area; they replaced the kitchen ceiling tiles, replaced a coat closet bi-fold door. I am very impressed with the promptness of their response, their completion of the job and very satisfied with their professionalism and how well the job was done. I plan to continue using SRO, Inc. for other repairs and work I need done in my home.
Superb service, amazing work ethic and meticulous work. She gave great recommendations for updating our kitchen floor and updating our electrical. Her work was precise and methodical. We will be hiring her for the basement this Spring.
Alex's service was outstanding. His crew painted the laid down bamboo flooring on the 1st floor. Paint job was excellent. His flooring guy, Marvin, was very good. Price was reasonable. The crew was punctual and arrived on time every day (early morning). He and his crew also did some other small repairs that were discovered as the project started. Overall, I am very happy with the service and would definitely hire him again for any other jobs.
Installation of porcelain tile floor. The job was done expertly, quickly, and with attention to detail.
Muchas Kirchner floor Washington remplace in less time than I was expecting
Not only were we new to the area, we were also on a tight time line to get our home painted before our furniture was delivered and I had to return to work. Total Remodeling was able to quickly get out for an assessment of the job and provided us with an estimate within a day. The whole house paint job (including the ceilings) took just 4.5 days! We are extremely pleased with the quality of work and professionalism of the painters and would definitely use them again for future jobs!
Marcus was very punctual and responsive. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to clean and re-grout a pretty large floor tile area. Highly recommend him
Dennis is the first contractor I have worked with that actually called me back. He is very prompt and very professional. His crew was very respectful of my property and cleaned up the job site at the end of each day. Eugene is one of the best carpenters I have had the pleasure to work with and the deck he built for us is the envy of the neighborhood.
From our first contact with Cert-Pro, we got the feeling we were dealing with real professionals. Sami Salam came to our house to scope the job in preparation for an estimate. He came prepared with a large folio of that included copies of licenses, proofs of insurance, photos of prior work, and letters from previous customers. He carefully examined the areas that needed work, took lots of photos and listened carefully to our desires. When his estimate came, it wasn’t the lowest, but wasn’t the highest either. It was very detailed and very specific with respect to the work to be performed, which included both carpentry and painting. After receiving several other estimates and meeting other paint contractors personally, we decided that Certa-Pro would be our best choice. We were proven quite right. They set up a specific date and time to do the work, the crews showed up promptly, they worked very diligently, being very careful not to cause any damage to any surrounding plants or property. I spoke with Darwin, the foreman, regarding the carpentry work they needed to do and he explained exactly what was needed and what they planned to do. They finished on time as promised and the work was outstanding. We would certainly recommend them to anyone and will use them again when we need painting done.
I hired Winthorpe Design & Build to complete a full renovation of my kitchen and dining room. Everything came out great, Scott and his teams did an awesome job and were fun to work with! Krag designed a perfect design. Dave and his team installed new cabinets, a great back splash and new floor. They rearranged the appliances to give us additional counter space and more room to function in the kitchen. They opened up the walls between the kitchen and dining room which made the rooms seem larger. Krag designed a coffered ceiling, which does a fantastic job tying the room together. We are all very happy with whole experience, but especially my husband who very detailed ordinated! Also I think our dog misses them.
PGC helped me remodel my kitchen, including counters, floors, and cabinet. I was very happy with the quality and timeline of project completion, and would be happy to recommend PGC to anyone looking for a relatively stress-free renovation project.
