FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have two ways of quoting jobs. One is at an hourly rate, the other is a scope-based estimate that details a predetermined amount of work. Scope-based estimates for projects involve estimating the amount of time for a large job in advance depending upon the customer's needs; while an hourly rate is best for projects which require less than 8 hours in time. I charge an hourly rate of $40/hour. A scope based project outlines the different phases of a large project so that the customer understands what is involved in terms of time before the project begins.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. In addition to continually upgrading my knowledge in software skills as new versions are published, I also work on my illustration and graphic design skills by challenging myself with new techniques, investigating trends, and being aware of new directions in typography.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I seriously enjoy graphic design and illustration. I grew up in an artistic family, so maybe it is genetic.
