Alex responded promptly when I messaged him. I asked if he could come a little early so we could discuss what I needed done. I work from home and he arrived 10 minutes early before my shift.
It was raining heavily. Alex had no problem working in the rain. I was impressed. He washed my deck, furniture and hung an outdoor rollup blind. He completed the job fast.
Alex was very polite and professional. I would definitely hire him again. This is the first time using Thumbtack and will use again.

Even though he was only one guy he got stuff done even when it started to rain. He was punctual and had a good work ethic. Friendly guy. Had a bit of a language barrier but it didn't seem to affect the quality of work. I asked him to leave the plastic drop cloths down because the paint was still dripping a bit causing an issue because of the stronger tape he had to use because the wind kept moving the painters tape. Had he removed the tape himself,he would have made sure the residue was also removed.

The pricing for the work is calculated based on the estimated time required and an hourly rate of $60. If the job requires additional materials or equipment, I discuss it with the customer beforehand.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer usually sends photos of the project to give me a better understanding of the work required. We then discuss a preliminary cost and agree on a convenient time. I arrive at the scheduled time to complete the project as discussed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have many years of experience doing home repairs. Additionally, I regularly stay up-to-date with new techniques and tools by following industry trends and completing relevant training courses.
