I found out about Studio Delfino through an online classifieds website. I contacted them about a bedroom remodeling project and recieved a prompt response from Emilia Delfino. She gave me the total cost of the online consulting project in that email. We got started on the project right away picking out paint colors. Photos I had sent her of the room helped with this. She also designed a 2D floor layout plan which was very helpful to visualize everything. She was prompt with all her responses to any questions via email or phone I had and was great at picking out furniture and accessories for the room. All the while, she was using input from me about what I wanted in the design. For the price and amount of correspondance, I felt this offer was an exellent value. I know I could not have tackled the project on my own for different reasons. One other thing I liked is that when the "shopping list" was completed (by her), she phoned me to explain the rationale behind everything going into detail about how each piece fits into the design. The "shopping list" items were mostly online purchases and a lot offered free shipping so I saved money there in addition to a coupon code she shared with me that also allowed me to save on my purchases. The only thing I would reccomend to customers is that they purchase the items ASAP bc a few were backordered by the time I got around to ordering - more my fault than hers. Overall, Great service! Great value! I will be working with Studio Delfino in the future I'm sure.

Emilia was extremely reliable and provided excellent customer service that far exceeded my expectations!!! She shopped effortlessly online and chose the right products to transform my newly purchased townhome. Her "talented eye" allowed me to make the right purchases to update a low-budget looking space into an elegant and beautiful townhome! She selected a gorgeous vanity that completely transformed my dated powder room into a high-end space. Her ideas led me to a perfect tile backsplash that changed the entire look of my kitchen. Emilia was great to work with. She helped us pick paint colors out for our basement and 2 bathrooms. She made great recommendations and was very thorough in her reasoning, and provided us with more options as we requested. We went with the first option she chose for our basement and absolutely love it.

I never thought I could afford an interior decorator. I've moved 4 times and this is the first time I've ever used one. Emilia helped design my living room and her price was quite reasonable. We took our time looking for furniture, color and designs. She was never a pusher and was very patient with me. Most of all she was reliable and very honest. At the end, I feel very comfortable and extremely satisfied with her work. I couldn't ask more from her service. Lots of happy memories to look back......Thank you Emilia!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing system is not really complicated, but it does depend upon the type of job. We do not charge by the hour, and do not charge the same for, say, a service of home staging or a service of interior decorating, even if both for the same number of rooms and square footage - they're just different jobs. Furthermore, we also offer online services, where we provide the clients with computer renderings, floorplans, shopping lists, etc., for them to do the room makeover DIY. These online services offer a great value and the fees, which again depend upon the number of rooms and square footage, are posted on our website. For in-house services in Baltimore, we do provide free estimates after the initial free consultation.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
For a local, in-house, service: take advantage of free initial consultation and estimate - you get to know the designer and... it's free! For online services: there aren't many designers around offering online services - do your research and don't be shy to pick up the phone!
