FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is typically "by the job pricing". What do I mean by this? Well, I like to work as fast, as efficient, and as safely as possible; to make the most of my time, as well as the customers time. In doing so, pricing by the hour actually makes me lose money, unless I were to charge insane rates---which no-one would go for. With that being said, it really depends on the type of job on demand. For instance, if I was painting a house-I would charge by the Square foot. On the other hand, if I were cleaning gutters-I would charge by the Linear foot. I like to keep my pricing as fair as possible, but at the same time making the job worth it to me to complete with pride. I usually will check on contractor sites that will estimate what the project would be worth in the area of assignment, and then base my prices very close to that estimate. With everything in life, you can't always be sure of what everything will cost, because of all the variables; but be sure that I will make it as fair to you (as the customer) as I can possibly make it!! As far as discounts, and fees go...that is really on a job-to-job basis. I do like to offer discounts to people that are return customers, or that provide me more work!! I also generally have some type of minimum charge in place to make any job worth the time and gas to come out. Both of these variables will determine what factors are involved, and will be one of the first things that I will ask or tell within the first few minutes of correspondence. Materials of any kind will always be included in the cost of the job. Any other questions can, and will be answered at the time of correspondence!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will warmly greet the new customer by introducing myself, and then proceed to ask a fair amount of questions about the project that they need completed, to ensure that I know exactly what they want/need complete. I will then take all of the measurements required by the job, and draw up a contract that will enter both the client, as well as the contractor into an agreement--that they both will agree on and sign. Once that is completed we will proceed to start the work and finish the work within a reasonable time period. Finally, after the work is completed, we will submit an invoice to the said customer for the payment, and to complete the transaction. All of the terms, total payment, and process of payment will be discussed before the customer signs anything, and will be agreed upon before contract is written. Any questions can, and will be answered at the time of correspondence!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I obtained a high school diploma, and graduated at the top of my class. I was Salutatorian for Calvary Baptist Schools in the year of 2019. I currently am taking online classes for sales, to grow and enhance my business. In the field, all of my knowledge is from a hands-on basis, and years of working experience. I have trained with some of the best foremans, and have quite a few references. I started working in construction and all trades alike when I was 11 years old. I am now 21, and have had 10 years of experience in all different areas. I have worked with Morrison Homes, Consolidated Steel Ind., NVR Homes, and Chick-fila-A (part time while in school). Any other questions can, and will be answered at the time of correspondence!
