- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Resumes and cover letters will be completed within one week after a new customer form is fully completed. I require a 50% deposit in advance, via Paypal, Cash App, or Venmo. The 50% balance is due when the service is completed. Final payment must be made via Paypal, Cash App, or Check. There is NO COST for corrections.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love chatting with a new customer in person or over the phone about what their specific needs may be, whether that's for a resume or cover letter, a writing service, or grant-writing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
By training, I am an educator (I taught English to Speakers of Other Languages) and I am also a lawyer. During my 9-5 job, I am a judicial law clerk. In my position, I read, research, and draft judicial opinions for an appellate judge. By nature, legal writing is very technical, and my training during law school has given me the skills to edit ruthlessly and write concisely and clearly. As a former educator, I have a deep love and appreciation for language and bring that to my work. Finally, I also work as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion/Anti-Racist and Anti-Oppression Consultant and Facilitator. I travel around the country (with my limited travel time) with my consulting partner, who is based in North Carolina, training nonprofit organizations, large companies (like Netflix), and other small entities on diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism work. I am passionate about that work and bring that lens to my consulting services on Thumbtack as well.
