I have worked with both the Cleveland and D.C. offices of Bluphin.com, and both were great. Its the same customer service and admin staff for both offices though, so its a seamless experience, its just a matter of which shipping address they have you use to get your laptop to them. I am posting this review on both their DC and Cleveland profiles as both have been great! We have used them for remote phone support where they logged in to our computer (with our permission of course) and helped us setup our wifi network and setup a new password and even got it to run faster. We felt completely safe the whole time and they explained everything they were doing to us. We were rather creaped out by the idea of someone helping us remotely but it was actually really great, and seamed way easier for us and them vs an in person visit. We have also had them repair a few family laptops now, and all have come out great. One wasn't repairable, but they pulled that data off it and put it on a new one all included in the price of setting up the new one. Couldnt ask for better than that! We are in Seattle, and nothing comes cheap here, so to say dealing with Bluphins reasonable prices is a welcome relief is an understatment.Oct 28, 2018

Bluphin.com was so easy to work with. They sent me an email saying they setup a new Thumbtack Profile for their Cleveland Office and asked me to leave a review based on my past experiences with them and I am happy to do so! I'm going to post this review to their D.C. profile too! I used them directly through their website, but they were great so I am happy to leave them a review here too! They kept me constantly updated, were honest and too the point, and took the time to explain detailed answers to all of my questions. The shipping process made my laptop repair far easier than dealing with traffic, and they passed up multiple opportunities to charge me for the little things that other services nickle and dime you for. Ben provided excellent assistance with an variety of issues. Starting with a laptop I killed, he explained what had happened and provided helpful suggestions for what I could do next. He then helped me purchase a new laptop for my husband. This included finding a variety of laptops that fit my specifications and budget, explaining the pros & cons and ordering the laptop. Then he set it up, removed the "bloatware" and made sure that it was ready to run when my husband unwrapped it. And did I mention that it was great not having to worry about smuggling a gift into the house until right before Christmas? Ben also set up MY new laptop, transferred the memory from my old laptop and gave a new tablet a similar treatment (sorry, I can't remember some of the technical terms). And THEN, because he hadn't seen quite enough of our computers, he went over our desktop, which is very old but he cleaned it up and got it to where we wanted, which was to be able to print documents. Through out each experience he was very patient and provided education about our equipment. His fees are incredibly reasonable and fact that he is right up the street from us was an additional bonus.
