I reached out on short notice with what I thought was a small repair job. Dalton squeezed me into his busy schedule, not once but three times, after what I thought was just a localized problem turned out to be a sediment filled water heater that needed to be replaced. He showed up on time, every time and easily worked around my busy schedule. He kept me advised during the repair process and even shared maintenance tips so I could hopefully avoid preventable issues in the future. Yellow Springs Plumbing certainly has a lifetime customer.

We couldn't be happier with the plumbing work Dalton did on our new home addition. From start to finish, he was professional, reliable, and clearly takes pride in his craft. He showed up on time, communicated clearly throughout the entire process, and made sure everything was done correctly.

I was suddenly left without hot water and Dalton came out, assessed the situation and compketed the necessary work so that I had hot water. He kept me informed every step of the way. I’m very happy with his work and will use this company again and I highly recommend him and his company.

We were remodeling a water damaged auxiliary building toilet room. Dalton took off the old toilet and flange, snaked the pipe, and reinstalled a new flange attachment in a few hours. Very clean and effective job so we can treat and retile the bathroom. Will definitely call Yellow Springs Plumbing for our future plumbing needs.

I had really nice experience with Dalton. He was very responsive, professional, and knew well what he was doing. He kept great communication through and through, reached sharp on time, and was done installing new toilet within 1-2 hr. I would highly recommend him to others for any household plumbing work within reasonable price.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My prices are based upon where the market is set. Customers should keep this is mind and consider that every job is different. Some are very straight forward, while others require more work than initially expected. Before getting started I thoroughly assess the task at hand, and try to identify any potential obstacles. I do my best to work with every customer, while always maintaining my integrity. I offer a 10% discount for cash payments and 10% off on future work for referrals. “Cheap labor is not always good labor, and good labor is not always cheap.”

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I completed an accredited apprenticeship through Washington DC’s Plumbers & Gasfitters local. This consisted of attending various classes after work two nights a week, over a five year period. I am now a licensed Journeyman Plumber & Gasfitter.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

In my early twenties I decided I wanted to work with my hands. I started off doing work for a handyman contractor, before being offered a job at a low voltage company. After a few years, I was urged by a family friend to look into the Plumbers & Gasfitters Union (Washington DC Local 5). Seeing the great potential opportunity in it, I applied and was accepted.
