Turner Tutoring

Hello families! My name is Lori Turner and I am a certified elementary teacher with 12 years of teaching experience. I offer in person tutoring for families in Frederick, Maryland, and online tutoring for those in other cities and states. I have a Master’s Degree in Education and a teaching English as a Second Language certificate. I have taught math, reading, writing, and more to grades 3-5 in both public and private schools. I have tutored students from grades K-5 in person and online. Over the years, I have seen the power of 1:1 support for students who need extra help. Students who receive tutoring show improvement in the classroom. Prior students of mine have shown growth in their reading comprehension, reading fluency, and various forms of writing. Students have been able to master math skills such as multiplication, division, fractions, addition, subtraction, and more. I enjoy making connections with the students I teach. I create fun and engaging lessons that are centered around your child’s needs! I genuinely enjoy being creative, supporting student growth, and encouraging them.
