A+ for everything.
SWAT did a great job with my project - essentially removing most of my ancient AV equipment (wall mounted TV, a poorly placed wall-mounted 5.1 system) and replacing it with an OLED flat panel, a new, properly situated wall-mounted surround sound system, and fixing/capping/repairing/painting the drywall damage from the original install.
Setting things up was easy - just a phone call followed by some text back n forth with pictures and spec confirmation — and finally a start date after the deposit was accepted.
The crew showed up on time and did great work. It turned out to be a 2-day project (my fault, I didn’t realize my rear wall mounted speakers didn’t come with mounting brackets - so they came back once the addt’l hardware had been delivered and buried the rear cabling and installed/aimed the new speakers)
Everything was neat and clean when they finished, my AV cabinet was left in a super organized manner, with everything neatly zip tied down. They even spent some time making sure all of the equipment worked properly and ensuring I knew how to work my new entertainment system as well as giving me suggestions on how to execute my future plans (like replacing a dead Logitech harmony remote system etc)
While SWAT wasn’t the cheapest of the quotes I got through thumbtack, I still feel that I got great value through them in terms of the work quality, responsiveness, and professionalism. Definitely would use them again for future AV projects.

I contacted SWAT AV through Thumbtack as i was looking to get somebody to help me get our home theatre operational. We recently moved into our house end July and since then been trying to get somebody to help. I reached out to another company who i had worked and they did some work for me in the past. They finally came over to my house in September and since then i followed up but to no avail. Then one day looking at Thumbtack i reached out to few companies and SWAT reached out to me immediately was told Rick Barron will contact me. Rick contacted me first thing in the morning and was super accommodating and came over to our house Saturday morning exactly at 9 am not a minute late.
Rick is amazingly nice and pleasant person and one of the finest people to work for. He got my hometheater operational and was there for 1.5 hrs. He is extremely honest and transparent and kept saying I don't want you to spend on things you don't need. My home theatre was operational and he refused to charge me anything for it even though i kept insisting. He said consultation is part of the process and i felt really bad as he took time out on Saturday morning and was extremely responsive. He is super competent and knows his stuff really well. I would not hesitate even for a second to recommend SWAT AV and Rick. He is one of the nicest people in the industry and it is very rare to come across people like him in today's world.
I look forward to working with Rick for our future needs.

Although I did not proceed to contract with SWAT AV and that's mostly because I had already finished 95% of my hometheater project on my own and it didn't make business sense for SWAT and they were very honest and professional about it and even provided me with free recommendations even though I didn't use their service. This highlights the professionalism and passion these guys have for their job and ultimately provide value to their customers. If I ever want to add additional items to my HomeTheater setup, I'll definitely be engaging with SWAT AV. Rick and Bear are the guys you want to work with on your HomeTheater project if you're starting from scratch.

They did a nice job trying to solve my wiring issues. Pretty honest and hard working team - they didn't anticipate a sound penetration issue with my work which ended up bothering my neighbors so they came back and redid the wiring without any extra charge. Total charge was $400 to do the work which seemed pretty fair overall (they also upon request repainted and putty'd my drywall after moving a mount). As with any contractor be sure to inspect the work and ask for alterations on the spot. I would def hire them again!
