I scheduled a deep cleaning and Alexandra was amazing. Our house was clean and smelled fresh, even with 2 dogs. Alexandra was detailed and meticulous. I can’t wait for my next scheduled cleaning.

I hired Camila’s Cleaning Services for my rental property and initially had a decent working relationship, but over time, several issues came up that ultimately led to us parting ways. First, there were multiple instances where the cleaning did not meet expectations. Specifically, guests reported concerns about cleanliness around key areas like the kitchen (including around the fridge), and I personally noticed that certain tasks—like cleaning the oven and indoor stairs were either missed or not done thoroughly. For a short-term rental, attention to detail is extremely important since guest satisfaction directly impacts reviews and bookings. As noted in general turnover cleaning standards, a proper clean should include thorough sanitizing of kitchens, appliances, and high-touch areas between guests. Communication was another challenge. When concerns were raised, responses sometimes felt defensive rather than solution-oriented. For example, there was disagreement about what was included in the service (indoor vs. outdoor cleaning), even though some of the items in question—like the stairs—were inside the home. There were also situations where concerns raised by guests were dismissed due to lack of photo evidence, which made it difficult to resolve issues quickly. Additionally, there was confusion around access to cleaning supplies. While supplies were available on-site, the cleaner later stated she did not have access due to a locked room, which was never clearly communicated earlier. This created unnecessary friction and impacted the quality of service. To be fair, Camila’s team did consistently provide photos of their work in the past and handled the property for several months. However, as expectations increased and guest feedback became more critical, the consistency and communication did not keep up. Ultimately, the cleaner chose to discontinue services, which I respect, but the overall experience highlighted gaps in attention to detail, communication, and alignment on expectations.
If you’re considering this service, I strongly recommend clearly defining the scope of work (what is included/excluded), ensuring access to all necessary supplies, and setting expectations upfront regarding quality standards, especially if you are managing a short-term rental.
