About
Our professional backgrounds as owners of this company are not only in the trades but as experienced construction managers - you will always be dealing with one of the two owners who will be directly overseeing the project from design through punch-list. We Floors began as a high-end/custom hardwood, stone and tile flooring contractor over 10 years ago, serving exclusively as Bray and Scarff's prime installation contractor. We remain so today along with having expanded our services to full design/build of KITCHENS, BATHS and design/build COMMERCIAL projects along with ADDITIONS and whole home renovations. The 'We' in We Floors stands for We're Eco-Friendly. NO Lumber Liquidators-like product. Our initial call with clients can be quite fun as they are are usually surprised to learn we can answer initial questions simply by reviewing a few images while on the phone - such as estimated cost or ideas for solving a problem or expediting a repair - without having to inconvenience the client with an in-home visit. If the discussion then suggests a visit to the home makes sense, we are happy provide further input and advice in person.

It was our first time as an agency using thumbtack for a service and I can't begin to say how much of a wonderful experience we've had with Craig. He was extremely friendly, efficient & understanding. Things get even better when working with a pro and when they have a great amount of knowledge in there areas of expertise.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We are happy to consult on the nature and scope of the project by phone initially and/or review any images the client would like to send at no charge - as well as expedite a preliminary cost estimate to the extent possible from the images - and then schedule and/or construction manage the appropriate licensed, insured and bonded contractor/s to visit the home to discuss full project scope and/or construction manage any immediate repairs as needed.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

    1. Are they LICENSED! Really important to avoid a range of potential problems. For example, in Maryland, the state will give you money back for bad work, but ONLY if the contractor has an MHIC license. 2. Honestly, we could say all the usual things like budget, timing, material specification, etc., but our view of what is critical is to budget some time to meet the contractor in person first and see if there is a fit. Test them on this first visit and see if they show up on time! The world is always in a big rush...this is a great time to slow down for a few minutes and reflect on not just price, but is this really someone/a company I want to be engaged with for some period of time working on my home or business?
