Shawn helped us transform the entire first floor and basement of our dated 1960s era colonial into an elegant, modern, spacious and airy environment. She reconfigured and removed walls when necessary, expanding the number and size of our windows, replacing with glass doors, letting the outside in, widened portals and eliminated lintels to create new space and a feeling of openness. In the family room she covered an old-school dark brick fireplace with light Italian porcelain, designed built in shelving, removed exposed wooden beams to elevate the room, and put in a wood flooring. She transformed our laundry room into an office by using floor to ceiling sliding glass panels that cover our appliances, planned the placement of cabinetry, counter tops,and closet - making the room a perfect work environment. The cost of all this was very reasonable as Shawn kept within the original footprint of the house and has a creative sense for economical solutions and products.
Shawn was a pleasure to work with as her style is to bring out her clients ideas and sensibilities and build upon them. She spends a lot of time listening and reflecting back what you express while also providing her own esthetic into, what becomes, a joint creative process.
Shawn was very effective and tactful in terms of monitoring the progress and quality of work of our contractor throughout the project. We had a serious dispute with a kitchen cabinet maker that Shawn helped resolve to our great satisfaction being more assertive as it became necessary.
In short, we would recommend Shawn very highly to just about anyone because of her flexibility, cost-consciousness and ability to put forth very creative and practical approaches to problem solving.
She did indeed go above and beyond to achieve results beyond our expectations.

In early 2014 I purchased a one-bedroom condo with lots of potential but dated, dowdy interiors. Shawn was just the person to turn to for help designing a cosmetic overhaul. With her expert eye, she helped me select everything from paint, light and plumbing fixtures, new bathroom vanity, and gorgeous kitchen cabinets -- and all this while I was traveling for work in a time zone several hours away!
Shawn adapted to my schedule, used social media effectively to share ideas, handled all the day-to-day details of my project, and managed the work of the individual contractors. Shawn checked in with me whenever there was a question she needed my input on, but had taken the time to learn about my tastes and preferences before the project started so that she could make decisions in my absence as needed and not hold up progress. She oversaw delivery of furniture, checked on the workers every morning and afternoon, troubleshooted as needed, worked with my condo management to ensure workmen and deliveries could proceed smoothly, and in short handled all the nitty gritty details. Her network of contractors is extensive and impressive; and I trusted her to be as attentive to detail and quality as I myself would be.
I would happily work with Shawn again, and would recommend her to anyone I know looking for an interior design consultant/project manager.

I'm always pleased consulting with Shawn. We had two large remolding house projects and needed advice on products and design. Shawn respects the customer's vision and offers suggestions and resources to make it all happen. Not so with other consultants. Shawn is reasonable, on time, and can think out side the box.

Shawn designed the update of 2 baths in my 1920s home. They are beautiful, functional, and fit the time period of the house. Shawn is highly knowledgeable and responsive. Shawn has great ideas and is also a good listener.
