BMus, theory & composition; BA, philosophy - Northwestern University MA, music composition, American University DMA, music composition, Peabody Conservatory of Music/Johns Hopkins University

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Think about what your goals are with music - what you'd like to achieve or accomplish. Ask any potential instructor about his or her musical background and training in addition to teaching experience. Finally, ask yourself what kind of personality in a teacher/mentor would be the best fit for you. A good professional will be happy to meet with you first before taking you on as a student to see if it's a good fit for both of you.
