Mark Goldfarb has been my trainer since 1999 and Ive probably been with him the longest of his clients. He is professional in our relationship but also a very caring person. He has researched ways to help train me when I have had an injury or surgery. He has much patience and a way of pushing me when Im not motivated. He is responsive when I have told him that I am unusually sore after a session, adjusting the weights accordingly, and usually spending more time on that muscle. I have sworn that I will never be able to do a certain thing he wants me to do and slowly but surely, I will get there. I like the fact that he uses lots of different approaches to training the same muscle group. It is not only a good way of doing it, but it keeps the workouts from getting boring. Besides the weight machines , he uses bands, bosu balls, straps, discs and a variety of other resources to train. Not only is he interested in building my strength, but increasing my flexibility and balance. In addition, he is a certified yoga instructor and includes many yoga positions in my workouts. This has definitely increased my flexibility. In short, I would highly recommend him as a personal trainer.Oct 19, 2012
I have Parkinson's Disease and exercise is a challenge for me. Mark inspires me to get to it full out. He is both serious about training and sensitive to my limits. I have lost weight, gained balance and muscle mass. He knows what he is doing!May 15, 2013Verified

Mark was highly recommended to me by a client. I was trying to get back into my pre-pregnancy shape after having my third child, but was not motivated to work out during the winter months. I had returned to work and was busy with my law practice and taking care of my family. Mark worked with me to find a slot of "free" time in my schedule for our weekly session. He assessed my overall fitness during our first session and tailored each workout to challenge my body. By the time winter was over, Mark helped me to achieve my goal of getting back into my pre-pregnancy size. Both my husband and I were very pleased with the results. Mark is very pleasant to work with and it's clear that he knows what he is doing. If you need to get into shape or back into shape, Mark is the fitness trainer to call.Oct 19, 2012
Mark is a real pro and very knowledgeable. He educated me on many different exercises and demonstrated their effective use. I've used the info gained in developing my own program. Thanks again for being prompt, pleasant, and patient. -MartyApr 29, 2017VerifiedMark's Yoga and Fitness Training's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My fees range from $70 to $85 per session. Discounts for 50 sessions. Minimum purchase is for 10 sessions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Set up a first training session and evaluate client by asking her to do various excercises and stretches. But before this activity we talk and I learn about their experiences, any trouble areas they might have, what meds they are taking, what they would like to accomplish and any other pertinent information that could affect their workouts.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?In order to stay certified by The American Council on Exercise I am required to take enough courses to meet their requirements. In addition, to continuing education courses, CECs, I read ACE's fitness journal and magazine and many other online sources of information. Also I like reading fitness books about Yoga, how olympians train, and other trainer's and general public experiences with trying to get fit. Plus I am an ex-athlete who trained with other athletes and trainers.
