Introduction: I do so much more than just play music. A major attribute of my job is to organize the order of events and facilitate the general flow of the evening. I meet with the client about one month before the reception date, where we spend some time finalizing the details of the event. I take the work we do that day and create a flowchart and timeline for the event that is e-mailed to the other wedding professionals that I will be working with for that particular event--the manager of the reception venue, the caterer, the photographer, the videographer, etc. It is absolutely wonderful to be a part of someone's special day and taking your guests on a musical journey. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I have had over the years, becoming part of people's families for an evening, meeting new friends and assisting in memories that will last a lifetime.

I hired Joey K. for my wedding, and did not doubt my choice for a second. Joey and his wife were an incredibly outgoing, helpful, and trustworthy team that did an amazing job entertaining each and every guest at the wedding. Joey is extremely organized, and a very strong communicator; you can be sure that no detail will be forgotten. Joey handled the MC duties as well, ensuring that our order of events moved swiftly and on schedule. All of my guests had great words about his service, and (being a DJ & audiophile myself) I was impressed with his technical ability as well as his proficiency at reading the room and choosing music accordingly. Also, the sound system Joey chose for our night was a perfect fit for the venue: (2) 15" PA's with an 18" sub for a 175 person room. All around GREAT people, and I would not hesitate to hire Joey again for my next event. Highly recommend!!!!

I was in a time crunch to hire a dj for my daughter's sweet 16 party. I used thumbtack and dj joey k was one of the first to reply. He was so very helpful on the phone! He assured me that my daughter could have the kind of rap music she likes and he would be able to get clean versions of the songs. He kept in constant contact via text to let me know that everything was set with the date. He arrived early to set up and was so helpful with everything. My daughter and her friends had a blast and it was because of dj joey k and his dj skills! He also did the uplighting for the party and it really made the atmosphere complete. I would definitely recommend dj joey k for anyone in need of a dj!! He was fantastic!

DJ Joey K provided an experience beyond our expectations! We were married on March 5, 2016. He performed for our wedding and reception. He was very well prepared and very helpful in respects of providing helpful worksheets and suggested music. DJ Joey K checked in with us and kept us updated on upcoming steps before the wedding. DJ Joey K was always available and responded to calls and emails very promptly. He had many great ideas and helped us envision how things would flow for our wedding and reception music. The day of the wedding he was set up well before the wedding. The guest were very impressed with the way he transitioned the many songs we had for the guest entrance music, the bridal party entrance music, and the brides entrance song. He was on cue! DJ Joey K kept the guest engaged and built on each step of the wedding into the reception with music to heighten the guest and wedding party to an evening of Great Heights. We were very happy with each stage of music and the guest are still talking about DJ Joey K and how great he was.There was never an empty dance floor. DJ Joey K provided many picture and video's and gave us many memories that we will have for years to come, this was very unexpected but shows how he goes above and beyond! We would use DJ Joey K for any occasion again.
