- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was obsessed with hot air balloons as a toddler, and my grandma bought me a balloon kit for Christmas when I was three. My mom's mom created a clown outfit for me just after I turned eight, and one of my mom's sisters surprised me with business cards...the profession followed after developing my twisting skills and with their family support- they saw a clown in me!

- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Twisters usually continue to build their repertoire even after achieving professional status. We occasionally practice together in "jam sessions," swapping tricks of the trade. Also, once you've got the basics down, you can pretty much twist anything from your imagination.
