What do you want to accomplish? I have a longstanding record of helping people achieve their musical goals whether professional or amateur. I've greatly enjoyed seeing them accomplish their goals and grow in other areas of their lives too!
My strong experience and credentials make this possible. I have earned three degrees in music and music education and taught music for over 30 years. I have studied not only music performance but also teaching methodology and have trained highly successful music teachers. As a result, I am able to draw from a great deal of knowledge and experience to help my students.
I love helping students grow and succeed as musicians and people.

He was an amazing singing teacher, so compassionate, and was very creative in his teaching techniques!
Always a great time, and his lessons still impact and better my singing even now!

Dr. T. is very knowledgeable. He is supportive and encouraging. I am enjoying my lessons and learning lots:
reading music, reading notes and chords.

Dr. Taylor has an efficient and effective teaching style. He's helping me learn technique on guitar and music definitions which is helpful. He has found my "pace" of learning and is challenging me while also being patient.

Dr. T has been teaching my daughter guitar for about a year and we are very happy with him. He’s the second teacher that we’ve had and the difference is night and day. Dr. T is incredibly patient but also very professional. It took some time for my daughter to appreciate the relationship between practice and improvement, but Dr. T coached her through the process and she now enjoys it much more and is improving rapidly. He records the zoom sessions and sends a detailed email after every lesson so we know what was covered and what to practice for the next week. We really appreciate all the time that he puts in and have seen the results in her playing ability. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. T to anyone interested in any musical pursuits.

Dr. T has been preparing me for auditions into a music education program at the college level. He has been wonderful and extremely helpful in not only helping me prepare music but taking a special interest in my progress as a music educator. He has gone above and beyond and truly cares about his students.

FAQs
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continue to practice and perform publicly as I have opportunity. There are always more skills to develop and more music to learn. I am always looking for new teaching materials for my students.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was raised in a musical family with parents that were professional musicians and music teachers. I have always loved music deeply and in college I decided I wanted to become a professional musician. After becoming a music teacher in schools, I learned how rewarding music study is for everyone's growth as a person and determined that I wanted to be a music teacher all my life.
