Dog training type
I have two 5 year old Havanese/Pomeranian siblings. I didn’t think they needed training, they’re just adorable lap dogs, right!? Well, Echo, the boy, has aggression issues when other dogs are anywhere near. Gypsy, the girl, loves everyone...a little too much. I searched for over a year hoping to find someone to come to my house versus going to a facility. Fortunately I found Becky! Her response was quick. She trained ME and the pups together... I needed a lot of re-training 😏. The 3 of us are on our way to a calmer and healthier relationship to our friends, family and new acquaintances both human and canine! Can’t thank you enough Becky 💕Nov 15, 2019VerifiedPooch Pointers's reply
Thank you for the review Deborah! I truly loved working with the three of you! You set them up with a great foundation to build upon. All of your hard work sure did show and those sweet babies sure do want to please you!
I loved the transformation of my dog's behavior and of his and my relationship after spending four sessions with Becky. She was warm, positive, knowledgeable and fun. She had effective tips for handling specific issues I asked about (digging, front door behaviors, etc) and she helped me to train my pup to do things I didn't know he was capable of doing (or myself, for that matter). I highly recommend Becky for her expertise and ease in training. Alfie also loved it when she came to "visit". Thanks, Becky!!!Aug 29, 2019Pooch Pointers's reply
Thank you Pat! I LOVED working with you and Alfie! Such a sweet soul...both of you.
Becky started working with us for my fearful dog. She offered some hints and suggestions that worked to a point. Unfortunately my dog is very fearful and not quite ready for obedience.I'm still working on building trust and will contact Becky in the future.Nov 19, 2019VerifiedPooch Pointers's reply
Thanks for the review Beth, I appreciate it. Like I said to you, I believe YOU are the person who will be able to build that bridge of trust with Hope. She is SO lucky to have you and your experience with reading what body language tells us. I have not met many people that have your keen eye. While I've had great success building trust through weekly visits, I understand that with some pooches it takes more than that to overcome their terrors. I wish all of you only the best!
My husband and I absolutely adored watching Becky interact with our dog Candi. We always felt like we completley understood what she was asking of us and of our dog. We love that she was committed to Candi succeeding. Thank you Becky! We are pleased with our well mannered girl.Nov 28, 2019VerifiedPooch Pointers's reply
Thank you SO much Shaunie!! You two worked with Candi and it showed! You two set your goal right at the beginning that you wanted a well mannered dog...I am THRILLED that you guys took the time and effort to make it happen!! Please give that precious baby a hug from me!
Becky is very affirming, positive, and understanding. We made great progress with a difficult, traumatized rescue. I recommend her without hesitation.Aug 28, 2019VerifiedPooch Pointers's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Prices can vary depending on the issues and goals for the pooch. A typical Beginner Obedience class consists of four 1 1/2 hour lessons for $450. Our first meeting will begin with a consultation to make sure all parties are comfortable moving forward with lessons. If so, we will begin training that day!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? Our first visit would consist of a consultation to determine where the pooch is with his/her training. We will discuss issues the family might be experiencing as well as short and long term goals. If the client would like to move forward with training, the $150 consultation fee will be wrapped into the $450 four lesson package and we will start training that same day. From there a personalized training plan will be created. This plan will be written out in detail for the family to refer back to.
