- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a standard minimum charge that has been honed over the years. My pricing on other jobs comes from experience and a reference called RS Means. I simply apply a coefficient that is based on location, time of year and geographic location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to get out and meet people to give consultation and estimates so that homeowners can get a feel for me and I can help people decide exactly what they want or advise on what they may need. Sometimes, phone calls or messaging can replace this step. But I find that if its possible to meet in person, a handshake and a conversation can go a long way.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a twenty year master carpenter. I also have my AAS in Building Construction Technology and my BAS in Construction MGMT. I have an OSHA 30 certification, storm water certification, life saving and first aid certification.
