FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was kind of by chance. I was looking for a summer job while I was going to college and a friend had a company. I fell in love then and have been doing it since. It's been a good fit because of the flexible schedule as I devote a good portion of my time to volunteer work.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common, bread-and-butter jobs we do are residential window cleanings. Our typical job involves cleaning the inside and outside of windows, wiping up the sills, frames and windows tracks, and in most cases, giving the screens a good scrubbing and rinsing.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure they have an attention to detail. That's shown in their taking off their shoes when they enter your home, using a ladder instead of a pole when it's safe, cleaning up after themselves, taking the time to move things out of the way to avoid breaking valued trinkets in your home, etc.
