Introduction: I am classically trained with a secondary in jazz guitar. I have exceptional technique and use it for all styles of music. This is how my students climb the ladder faster than others. I also have an exceptional ear, I haven't heard anything I cannot play, so when you bring me something I'll be able to process it right away and begin showing it to you. I am a people person. I love meeting new people and showing them that "Yes, I can do this!" You can check out some of our studio recordings on Spotify, and ITunes under the band name “Seven To Zero”

We took our 8 year old son to him for lessons after 2 other instructors hadn't worked out. With Marc, he is having fun while still being challenged and he is making great progress on the guitar. He is thoroughly enjoying it and we couldn't be happier. We have been working with Marc for about 8 months now, and he has been great, even adapting to virtual video lessons through the pandemic. Marc knows his stuff and we would recommend him to anyone looking for instruction at any level.

Guitar Lessons

I always thought you could learn any instrument online( I was wrong) after doing a class with Marc I do understand the importance of private lessons. He is very patient and has a vast experience. I would surely do another class with him and will recommend him to all my friends.

Guitar Lessons

I am 17 and finally started learning guitar, which I thought I was too late. Going to Mr.Michaud’s lessons helped me find the confidence which allows me to be better and learn faster despite the lack of experience . He is very educated in any topic relating to music, a product of his many years of experience, Mr. Michaud is delivers quality and professional instruction. Recommend him to any level players, where he will prove to you that there is always room to improve. To invest in myself by taking lessons from Mr.Michaud has been the best decision I made!

My 11 year old son has been taking lessons from Marc for a little over a year now and as someone who had taken various instrumental lessons when I was a child, I have been very impressed with Marc's ability. Not only does he have expert musical ability, skill, theory and knowledge but he also has the ability to relate and inspire the student, which is something from my experience many teachers do not posses. While his musical preference are akin to mine (classical, rock and metal), he was able to cultivate guitar interest within my son by finding his interest (hip hop radio music). Marc would ask my son for a song that he liked and listened to. Marc would then listen to the song then write out the tab & music during a session for my son to practice. I have seen Marc's ability to do this with students of all ages, which is a true gift for any teacher.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge 25.00 per half hour, 38.00 per 45 min, 50.00 per hour. Also, I prefer one on one interactive lessons but I have been getting inquiries about group lessons and Skype/FaceTime lessons which I do teach both! With a group lessons setting there will be an additional cost (pending on the situation IE how many students, and what the needs of each are.). With Skype/FaceTime the cost is the same.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I always make sure to screen my new students for their goals and needs. For example, If your here to learn how to pick and grin but do not prefer learning to read music, that’s what we’ll do! If you prefer to delve into the theory of music as well, great! We’ll divide the lesson up in two parts: 1) working on reading notation/theory and 2) learning how to get better at the instrument!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I'm always learning new ways to interpret the guitar. Right now I am currently redefining my teaching approach based on the C-A-G-E-D system
