    Caring and patient tutor!
My 15 year old son is being tutored for Algebra 2. He went very unwillingly to the first session. He is eager for the next. Mr. Abron engaged him and gave him insight into why things were not working out for him. INSTANT CONFIDENCE! It also helped that he was nice, patient, smiling, and extremely knowledgeable about the content. He provided resources that the school was not providing and gave us a game plan that will carry him through the school week. Besides all of that, he strikes me as a wonderful, caring person to whom my son will make a stronger connection. Nurturing and fatherly conversation. Very, very satisfied!

He never returned my call. We set a date, and he backed out for whatever reason. I don't know why, because he didn't answer /return my calls.

James is a wonderful tutor. My son has ADHA and James found ways to keep him focused and on task. Giovanni likes the tutoring sessions more than school. James is always thinking outside the box. Thanks James.

James was outstanding. He was so kind, patient, and intelligent. I am so grateful that he was able to help me prepare for mathematics and science section on my MTTC. Thank you James!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Students schedule an appointment. I prefer to use the public library - fewer distractions. My sessions are one hour in length. Payment may be made in advance on my website or by bringing cash to the session. Bring your textbook and have fun!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I am an avid reader. I belong to several LinkedIn groups related to mathematics teaching. I have accounts on Khan Academy and Sofia where I am enrolled in mathematics enrichment courses. Regularly teaching and tutoring tends to keep you fresh.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
The basic fee is $35.00 per hour. I provide discounts for multiple sessions paid in advance. Please check my website for additional information.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check the person's background. Can the potential tutor communicate the subject matter to the student? Does the tutor try make the material interesting? Does the tutor display patience? The tutor should provide a free session. The only way to find out if the tutor has these traits is to observe.
