Introduction: My work seems to be an extension of who I am rather than a thing that I do. That is, I experience being with someone in a helpful manner, as a natural part of me. From my clients' perspectives, I am told that I am not like any other therapist they have known, in that they feel my interest and care for them is genuine and not just a professional courtesy.
That it's not really a job to me but instead is an extension of me. From a "job" perspective, it's the best job in the world. I get to wake up in the morning and go do something that is deeply meaningful, purposeful, engaging and satisfying. I am very fortunate.
