Mike was on time for both the quote as well as the scheduled work date. He was polite, friendly and helpful. We discussed the projects to be done this time as well as some possibly for the future. Rehang and repair backyard wooden gate and securely install hand railing for stairs.

His company did an excellent job repairing my grandmother's stairs She lives in Detroit and has a fixed income and I'm in Cincinnati and had to handle everything by phone. He did the job in 1 day and sent before and after pictures. We were very pleased with the results.

Kent did an excellent job installing new drop-down attic stairs and repairing an electrical outlet. I would hire him again at the drop of a hat. He worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. He was knowledgable and personable, and answered questions about other jobs I'm thinking about getting done. He gave me advice on what he thought I could accomplish myself (and how) and what aspects of projects he could help out with. Kent is great to work with!

Vince and company were lifesavers! We needed our crumbling porch stairs replaced and Dimensions came through for us, especially when they found we had no footings under the old stairs! It meant extra work and inspections and Vince took care of it all. I can't thank him enough for his perseverance in completing the job in a thoroughly professional manner. A big thanks also goes to Patti who kept me in the loop the whole time. Her communications allowed me to have an understanding of where they were in the process at any given time and gave me much needed peace of mind. I would recommend Dimensions Construction Services to anyone for their next project.

We were very pleased with his work and his professionalism. He is also a very friendly guy and was helpful with picking out the supplies we needed for the project. We would definitely hire him again and would highly recommend him to our friends and family!

when we posted on this site the first person to respond was Mr. Sandercott of Jam Restorations. he prompt response to our add was very impressive. when David came to our home he was very attentive to what we were trying to achieve and what we wanted as the end finished product. keeping in mind that we had (3) prior contractors come out and never even gave us a call back after leaving. David not only returned our call after leaving but had a quote for us the same day WOW.. Needless to say we signed our contract with Jam Restorations the following day. clear wording and easy to follow contract. David provided a start and finish date for us off we went. we hired Jam restorations to do the following work for us, trim (11) windows, (5) doors entire second and third floor as well as our stair case, (3) closets in and out as well as switching out and rehanging the (5) doors. David and his company not only met our expectations but exceeded them so much that we actually asked him to return to complete our first floor living quarters. David and his employees were nothing but professional and considerate of our time table and work schedule. I have had several neighbors come into my home to see his work and they were just as equally impressed as we were. we would Highly recommend him to others, a contractor who answers all of his calls and or gets back to your calls within 5 minutes... actively using jam restoration for other carpentry finishing work in my home. Thank You Mr. Sandercott for your excellent work, detail to finish and professionalism.

We had an excellent experience with Jim and his team. We pulled out old pavers to create a beautiful patio and seat wall with built in fireplace and custom lighting. He also matched new railing for the front porch. He was extremely professional, reliable and very creative. I recommend this company highly and intend to use them again for future projects.

Pat and Bobby have done 2 jobs for us and we are more than satisfied with the outcome. The first time we hired them was to install a new entry door and to fix our front porch overhang; Pat provided us several solutions based on our financial situation. Although we wanted the most cost-effective solution, Pat made it clear that a cheap fix would only perpetuate the damage (we had rotten fascia boards and a rotten post which caused the whole overhang to sink), Pat made it clear that he only provides professional work without any compromises in quality. We are so happy that they rebuilt the porch overhang now that it has 2 feet of snow covering it. The guys worked almost two full days on the door and the overhang and in between they even helped us with questions which were related to totally different topics. The new front of our house looks so nice and gives us a much safer feeling with all the snow on the roof. The best part happened the next day when Pat contacted us and told us that we overpaid him by $1300 and he would like to return the difference. He told me the total and then broke it down as the labor plus the materials price. I added all those numbers together and overpaid. He could have taken the money and said nothing because clearly I didn't argue about the price. Who does that? Pat does apparently. The second job we called Pat for was our stairway which needed to be redone. After removing the old carpet from the stairs it was clear that the treads needed either to be replaced or sanded and stained excessively. After discussing the pros and cons of either option, we chose to reuse the old treads and handrails. Pat and Bobby spent a whole day in sanding and the next day to install new risers and trim around the stairs. Pat even built a custom made tread for the landing. He explained all necessary steps for the staining and he also organized the necessary brushes and primers for that job. We feel so comfortable with Pats and Bobby's work, and it is always fun having them around. If you are looking for a professional and honest carpenter who can provide high quality solutions based on the available budget, get in contact with Pat and you won't be disappointed!

Harry built up my daughter's closet and installed bifold doors where giant sliders once kept falling off. He also made a fantastic new banister for our staircase. He was professional and his craftsmanship is excellent. We liked his work so much that we are having him back for another project. We give Harry our highest recommendation!

I hired Chris Nevins to fix a broken stair on my stair case. After taking a look at the damage, we decided to go ahead and replace all the stairs with hardwood. Chris was extremely professional and did an incredible job. Not only was the work top notch, but Chris was super friendly, prompt, and a pleasure to work with. He really went above and beyond, and I am so stoked with the results. I look forward to working with Chris again in the future!

Bill did an outstanding job on our master bedroom remodel. The job included repairing drywall that was installed from a previous contractor who clearly did not have the same workmanship standards as Bill. Bill also painted our whole upstairs which included the master bedroom, hallway and stairway. Bill also built two closets for the bedroom, painted, and installed doors to the master bath and bed. He kept us informed throughout the whole process. We made several changes during the job that resulted in rework and increased scope of the project which Bill had no problem accommodating. Bill was reliable and trustworthy. We would use him again.

Justin completed our stair project in time for the New Year. I couldn't be more pleased. The before and after is incredible. I cannot believe I waited so long to renovate the stairs. His attention to detail and work ethic were above and beyond any contractor I have worked with in the past. I would highly recommend Fowler Built.

We had our main deck completely demolished and rebuilt; we had a second-story deck demolished, a door removed and replaced with drywall; we had a smaller lower level deck rebuilt; we had the slope of a curved bridge modified and refinished. I highly recommend working with Rufino Labra and Labra Design + Build. The most important aspect of our project was demolishing our aging cedar deck overlooking a ravine, adding 120 square feet to it, and adding deck lighting which we had never had. We also needed an unused (except by the raccoons) smaller deck area demolished, the door removed and replaced with drywall. Additionally, we had a curved bridge over a gully leading to our entrance on which we wanted the slope modified to make the tie-in to the landing gentler. Initially we were looking at Trex or Azec (both "faux" wood) for the deck but after some investigation discovered cumaru, a Brazilian hardwood similar to ipe. Rufino was the only contractor we contacted to investigate this possibility, and offered to do the deck in the cumaru for the price of Azec, and included the lighting package at no additional charge. We were also initially considering glass railing panels, but knowing that we live in a wooded area and feed the local birds, Rufino mentioned that the birds might fly into the glass and get hurt or killed, so he gave us the option of stainless steel cable, and we are so glad we opted for that! The finished deck is spectacular! The woodworking detail is amazing. Rufino also offered to install soffit lights at no charge because he knew we would love them. We do! Rufino and his crew showed up every day on time, they worked efficiently and with enormous attention to detail. He has a degree in architecture from Lawrence Tech, so in addition to being an incredibly skilled craftsman he is also artistic and talented. He was in constant communication on any changes or issues (they found carpenter ants had chewed up a lot of the old deck and advised us to call an exterminator -- we did!). They all really went above and beyond, they finished within the time Rufino had estimated despite some rainy days, and we are enormously pleased with the results. We will definitely work with Labra Design + Build in the future.

I have nothing but great things to say about working with Ruben's! They were on time, friendly and VERY HELPFUL. They moved my entire bedroom set (which is extremely heavy) down a flight of stairs, then moved them into my new house with a very icy driveway. They went out of their way to help me move a couch we couldn't get in the door ourselves - they did it in 5 minutes. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the metro Detroit area, you will not be disappointed!
