I had been dreading for years the process of getting new windows for the house which were sorely needed. I have had some experience with one of the large in your face constantly advertising with annoying jingles companies whose salespeople demand a three hour appointment to talk at you until you are frantic and will say yes to anything just to get rid of them. Not until then do they take measurements and give a quote. I wanted a small local business which depends on reputation and personal pride rather than full scale media advertising. I finally gathered the courage and put in a request on Thumbtack with which I have had some success. As soon as I had closed the Thumbtack window, I had an email message from Tom Bolda of Xpert Glass requesting a chance to quote the job. I took some deep breaths and called. Tom wanted to come out right away. I said it was getting on to dinner time, but he said it wouldn't take long. I said, "Not three hours?" He laughed and said, "No way." Tom arrived a short time later, and after a few pleasantries, I showed him the windows I wanted replaced, and he took measurements, did some figuring and gave me a quote which was in the ball park of what research said I should be paying for nine windows. He also told me of a company promotion for triple pane windows with an additional price so modest compared to the industry standards that I consented. We then went out to his truck and I was shown samples of the windows. Tom was so enthusiastic and confident of his product and work for which I got a lifetime transferable warranty that I signed the contract and gave a deposit. The whole visit took about forty-five minutes. Three weeks later Jasmin and Joe came with the windows. They worked diligently and professionally. These two master craftsmen had all nine windows expertly installed and the old windows carted away in less than four hours. They left a beautiful job. I did find aluminum trim snippets scattered around the outside. They are probably harmless, but I pick them up anyway when I see them. Jasmin informed me because of the energy ratings, I could apply for a Consumers Energy rebate of which I was unaware, and for which I successfully did apply. During the process of applying I did some research on the Alside Mezzo windows I bought. The Mezzo line got all brilliant reviews, but Alside triple pane windows' reviews were pretty dismal. The Mezzo triple pane windows were too recent to have been reviewed, so, hopefully, the Mezzo standard of excellence will have created a triple pane of which Alside can be proud. On the Alside website there is a hint the triple pane will better reduce noise, but research I have done says the noise reduction of double and triple panes is about the same. If triple panes are bought, it should only be because of the energy savings. So the ordeal I had long dreaded was handled as painlessly and expertly as possible. Glass Xpert was just what the therapist ordered, and I would recommend them to everyone.

Glass xpert from start to finish did an excellent job. They listened to what we were looking for in new windows for our house. They were able to get the order done quickly and installed in a single day after the order was filled by the manufacturer. Their installers were very professional and worked on making accommodations to keep our pets warm during the installation. The installers did a fantastic job my house is a mix of cinder block and wood construction and they did a great job working around it and doing a clean install. The price came in $10,000 under the 3 other competitors bids and they were able to get the job done in 3 weeks compared to months that the other companies wanted us to wait . I would highly recommended them and would gladly be a written reference for them.

I had an excellent experience with Glass Xpert for my new windows. The price was very competitive, all dates, times and installs details agreed upon were according to the expectation. One thing that separated this vendor from the others that quoted me was the new aluminum trim outside the windows that was included with the install. It not only made sure the seal around my new windows was good, but made the exterior of my house look that more incredible with the new windows. The install crew were very good guys, and I felt comfortable leaving them alone in the house to perform the install. Overall very satisfied, I would hire them again if I had to do more windows.

We had a great experience with Glass Experts. They did a great job installing a large bay window where a small window was. Replaced 5 other windows and trimmed all my remaining windows to match. They treated us like family. I am very happy!

It's to hard to have a standard, when there is so many different products! Each product has many options!!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Driving to the customers home, greeting them. Telling them who I Am, and who I represent. Then asking them how I can help them with their project or needs? From there I can go to work, to see what best suits them? Weather they are interested in new vinyl Windows? Or just changing the glass? Which is usually less expensive! I'm always seeing what best suits the customer, and if I can save them money!! That's one of the reasons I'm there! We guarantee all of our work!! And there's nothing better than a happy customer. (Satisfied) with what we GlassXpert has done for them..
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
College educated! Grew up in the detroit area! And combined 28 yrs experience in the Window& Door Industry 20 of those years combined in Vinyl Window Manufacturing!! With a local company!!
