I have always been interested in holistic health and healing. A lifetime of study in psychology, metaphysics and the mind/body/spirit connection. Healed from Limes disease, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury using holistic means. I bring an eclectic approach to my practice, a mix of science, intuition, and spirituality that is truly unique. Techniques utilized include cognitive-behavioral therapy, meditation, mindfulness, brain science, body awareness exercises, positive psychology, and energy practices, i.e. reiki and yoga. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Psychotherapist and Reiki Practitioner serving individuals, couples, and families with 25+ years of experience in helping others learn how to process and deactivate negative patterns of thought and behavior. My clients learn how to create an emotional environment that allows them to resonate with the energy and resulting actions of what they desire. Working together, we create an individualized treatment plan and actions steps which help to gently guide them in reaching their goals. My work with clients comes from a belief that as we discover and determine the truth about who we really are, this enlightened insight with directed action leads us into the life we desire, both personally, relationally and professionally. Working toward being YOUR BEST SELF is always going to help get you where you want to be! My Life's purpose is to utilize my education, knowledge and the energy of Love to assist other beings and the planet in their healing and the expression of JOY!! The Center for Peace Counseling has serviced my adult foster care homes for several years. The clinician is always personable, courteous and available to myself and my residents. During the pandemic she ensured that quality service was still being provided. My clients look forward to speaking with her and find much peace and comfort with her services. Ojetta has such a beautiful soul she’s the perfect therapist for me. I have never had therapy before but she helps me to feel comfortable, relaxing and excited for whats to come. IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT CHOOSE ME IF you do not meet the following criteria. Thank you! I ONLY ACCEPT Blue Cross Blue Sheild Ins. My Prices have been reasonably set for those who are ABLE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. I accept PayPal, Zelle, Cash app. $125 per Individual session. (45 - 50 min session) $180 per Couple session (60 min session) $180 per Hypnotherapy session (60 min session) We try our best to make things convenient for you. We offer online sessions as well as phone sessions. If you would like to try this method out to see if you're comfortable, please let us know and I'll be more than happy to do a free 10 min. consultation at your convenience. This will not only save you time but money when it comes to travel costs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Developing a comfortable, strong rapport is very important to me. I work to build an authentic, trusting relationship with every client and I aim to embody warmth, optimism, curiosity, and empathy. If clients are going to share their life issues, trust is the single most important factor in developing a great working relationship. Everyone is unique, I spend sufficient time understanding who each client is, where he or she is currently, and where he or she wants to go. Working together, we create an individualized treatment plan and actions steps to help guide them in reaching their desired goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Psychology. Master's Degree in Social Work with a Concentration in Mental Health and Occupational Psychology. I am a Reiki Practitioner and Ordained Minister. I am a Certified QHHT (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique) Practitioner, and I am Licensed in the areas of Macro and Clinical Social Work. I have 25+ years of experience in clinical social work as a therapist, consultant, teacher, and trainer. I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient treatment, middle and high schools, nursing homes, hospitals as well as client's homes. I have many certifications in Energy work and empirically proven successful forms of Mental health practices and techniques. I am a regular participant in seminars and workshops to keep my education and skills current. I currently work full time as the Executive Director of and Clinician at the Center for Peace Counseling and Holistic Healing Services.
