Cynthia F. says, "I hired CLM Contracting to remove my kitchen subfloor, replace it with cement board, and tile overtop of it.
I would arrive to the house ten minutes early to every appointment, and Connor was ALWAYS there before me. He'd then provide me with a no-nonsense rundown of what he intended to complete that day, and then immediately get to it. Each day, he provided courteous estimates of when he'd be done, giving me more than enough time to head back to the house, inspect the work, and lock up after him.
Every step of the way, Connor was thoroughly honest about how he foresaw the job proceeding. When he accidentally scuffed the side of a cabinet (not his fault - I inadvertently obstructed his workspace with my refrigerator), he pointed it out to me that same afternoon. Later he bought a perfectly-matching pint of stain to fix it, and did so with such skill, you'd never guess the scuff even happened. He even left the remainder of the pint at my home without charging me a cent for it, spotlighting his honesty and integrity by simply saying, "That's on my end."
When it came to light that the tile I had purchased would necessitate an extra days' labor, he told me the same day. When it came time to cut him a check, he had original receipts of all the materials he'd purchased, all of which was clearly reflected in the final cost of the project. When I had a question, he had an answer. Before he was even on the clock, he aided me in removing hinges from my fridge and in moving my stove, yet didn't ask for a single dime more.
Oh, and the kitchen floor? It looks terrific. Connor's got hands steadier than a heart surgeon when it comes to laying tile, and that skill is reflected in the impeccable quality of the final result. As is plainly visible in the photos, my kitchen looked somewhat ghastly before he came to fix it up, and now it's the highlight of the house!
In a world full of seedy contractors with less-than-honorable intentions, Connor shines like a diamond among lumps of coal. At no point did I harbor even a speck of suspicion regarding his morality or his work ethic. He's simply the best general contractor I've ever had the pleasure of hiring, and if you choose him for your project (which you should), you will not be disappointed. He'll be getting plenty more business from me in the future."See more
