About
I offer remote guitar lessons and work primarily with students in the Eastern Time Zone for convenient scheduling. I’ve been playing guitar for nearly 30 years and perform weekly as a lead electric guitarist in a church band, along with an additional band covering a wide range of styles including classic rock, progressive, jazz, and pop. I especially enjoy working with beginners and early-to-intermediate players, helping them build strong fundamentals, confidence, and real musical understanding — not just memorizing chords or scales. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether that’s learning songs, improving technique, understanding the fretboard, or developing better rhythm and timing. I currently offer online/virtual lessons only, with limited availability for consistent weekly time slots. If you’re motivated to learn and want a supportive, experienced instructor, I’d love to see if we’re a good fit.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I’m currently offering special seasonal pricing. Message me for more information.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

A typical onboarding session would occur during the 1st session, and would be an orientation. This is the time when we get to know each other and ask any relevant questions. I use this time to discover the students current experience level, reasons for wanting to learn, short-term and long-term goals, preferred styles of music, and condition of equipment. I would then begin to formulate a customized plan for the student based around these insights, suggest any books/learning materials, and (if we both want to proceed), then we would decide on a good time for us to meet on a weekly basis.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Music has been my greatest passion for much of my life. I started playing guitar over 30 years ago. During that time I have been trained and mentored by various professional instructors and musicians. Some of my professional experience is listed below: Evangel Baptist Church / Lead Electric Guitar Player / 08/2015 - Current The Sympathy Orchestra (Band) / Lead Guitarist / 08/2025 - Current Four Fantabulous Fellas (Band) / Lead Guitarist / 02/2024 - 12/2024 Able To Bear (Band) / Rhythm Guitarist & Art Director / 03/2012 - 07/2015
