My mother inlaws wood floors were in bad shape! Dog pee had rotted certain spots. Almost 40 years of neglect and heaps of staples made this a very difficult job. Dan and his crew came in and gave us an honest quote and finished the job early!!! Simply getting a wood floor guy to call you back in the metro Detroit area is hard. Dan even came out after the fact to install a transition piece!

Dan is a great hard working business owner who really takes pride in his work. He admits that "He is his biggest critic." His price was the best initial price I had been quoted. He and his crew were product experts with great honest advise. New Generations work ethic is what stood out the most. When we set a timeline out for the project, New Generations actually beat the time by a few days. He answered all my questions that I had and was patient when I needed to choose a stain color. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge a set price per square footage, for all of our customers! There will be projects that need additional work beyond our normal refinishing process which may add additional charges.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
About 12 years ago my uncle took me to work and taught me the trade. I have continued to work in hardwood flooring ever since!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently came across a Facebook post about an elder woman battling cancer. She had her floors refinished by another company and she was left with badly stained floors and unfinished work. New Generation decided we would go in and fix her floor for free! It felt good to help out in any way we could!
