Michael accepted my project, but never communicated with me much. An appt was set for 2pm Wed on 12/16/20. Tues I messaged Michael twice via Thumbtack to add another job: Installing a new medicine cabinet in bathroom and asked for his reply, but he never responded.
On the day of appointment, I tried calling him a few hours prior to our scheduled time, but no reply - so I just waited until 2pm. When 2pm came and went, I knew he was a NO CALL/NO SHOW. When he did finally reply, he was full of excuses with big holes in his story. Then he became very insulting. Here is an excerpt of one of his replies when I tried to give him examples of ways he could have still contacted me:
MICHAEL'S REPLY: "Don't tell me what I could have done. If my phone was broke how could I get your number? How do you know if I got friends or a PC? How do you know how long I been in Michigan? Who are you to tell me what to do and my priorities? I have a personal life also that is way more important than YOU outside of my work which I stand firm on. Like I said just because it said I was online don't mean a damn thing cause I wasn't silly. My work doesn't revolve around you. You wild as hell."
I made every effort to give him my business because I could tell he was young — I wanted to give him a chance. I changed my schedule and payment process just to accommodate HIS wishes. Michael is very young and admittedly inexperienced. But that's no excuse for such unprofessionalism! He has no respect for his customers and admittedly believes customers are not that important to him.
