FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process working with a new customer is patience - At the begining of a shoot I feel out the personality of who I am shooting and then I start the shoot. I will eventually find a rythm with who I am shooting and I cater my shoot to their unique personality.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly learning and trying to improve myself, my photography skills, and my business. I look to many sources of social media, Youtube, Pintrest, and other photographers. I may not have much classroom time but I do put in the hours of work to gain a better understanding of my work.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a love for photography. I was finally able to afford a camera that I had been dreaming of. I started taking nature photos and photos of family members just for fun. One day a friend asked me to photograph her newborn. I was hesitant at first because I knew my skill set wasnt totally there but she insisted on it anyway. I look back at that shoot now and I can see what I was doing right and what I was doing totally wrong. My friend was so happy with the photos that soon enough word of mouth had spread and now I have my business with repeat customers as well as new customers.
