Exactly the trainer I needed to help me with my dog. She is patient and knowledgeable, giving you the tools you need to understand your dog's behavior and correct problems. Her prices are very reasonable too!
Really know dog behavior and Milo and Ryan are great to work with. Excellent communication and a deep well of patience for dogs and dog parents.
She was very knowledgeable and helpful. There was never any pressure to set up a schedule to keep training. I have already noticed a change in my dog's behavior from one training session and the homework she gave us. I will schedule another one in about a month. I would highly recommend her services!
Rita clearly loves dogs and knows animal behavior. She worked wonders with our Rat Terrier (and us for that matter!) I had looked at some of the dog training classes in the area and none of the times worked for us. What's great about Rita is she's flexible and works within your schedule. Also, the training is one-on-one which is not the case with classes. She works specifically to the level and needs of your dog. After each class, she leaves you with very detailed instructions on what she just taught you, which is great because there was always something I forgot. She also makes herself available by text if you have any questions. Best of all, she makes it fun for all. I know I will return to her to brush up or take our training to the next level.
I use her service all the time. I like her training methods and she has a good rapport with the dogs. She is doing very well with one of my dogs that has behavioral issues, he is making great progress. She also has a doggie day care and has taken very good care of my 14 year old dog and keeps her in top shape. I have a work schedule that keeps me away for 24 hours at a time and she is willing to watch my dogs at anytime.
Ali from At Home Pet Care came into our home twice a day to care for our dog and two cats. She had to give medicine to the dog, feed the animals, walk the dog and bring in the mail. She left notes every day, left the kitchen quite clean and our animals were in great shape when we returned. One of the cats is pretty skittish and previous times, we have heard that the pet sitter hasn't seen much of him. Ali was able to entice Bilbo out of hiding and even pet him - I was surprised and grateful that she took the time to work at that. We are thrilled with At Home Pet Care's service and recommend them highly!
Mandy did an excellent job. I would highly recommend her to anyone with a dog having behavior issues.
Does your dog have behavior problems? Or just need coaching on getting your dog to listen to you more and think of you as the "pack leader" in the relationship? I now have a dog once owned by Justine, and he is the most well behaved dog I've seen, always responds to my commands and even knows a number of tricks as well! She can also provided specialized training for PTSD service dogs. Hire Justine for whatever may be your needs - you'll be so happy you did, as will your dog!
Katie has given my daughter and I advice about our dogs behavior issues and has been right on with every thing she told us. She is very knowledgeable about dog behavior. I have also seen first hand how she trained her horse and was very impressed!
Lynne explained and demonstrated everything so clearly and gently. Great perspective on daily mundane things that are so important like feeding, going thru doors. These things all impact how our dog sees us and behaves. I couldnt believe the difference in a little over 2 hours. Our dog who pulled and barked on leash ceased that behavior in one day. We have to practice daily but we have a new dog.
I hired Lindsay to work with my dog, Rocky, on basic obedience. He was very territorial of parts of the house and needed work with some basic commands. Lindsay showed me how to communicate better with Rocky. I now know what he needs from me in order to feel safe and this has had a huge impact on his behavior. Lindsay uses positive reinforcement and counter-conditioning. She keeps the dog feeling safe and positive, showing him what he should be doing instead of what he should not be doing. She uses treats to get her points across to the dog. She does not use bark or shock collars or anything that would make the dog feel uncomfortable. I am very happy with my experience so far, and will continue using Kinney K9 Academy.
The Owner of this company has a great knack for dogs, their individual personalities and has fantastic knowledge of breeds. Being a animal lover myself I wanted to find someone who could really fit the needs of my three dogs whom all have different traits. Haley has exceed my expectations every time.
We've had Mary watch our rat terrier on multiple occasions and we're always very happy with the service. It's quite evident that she loves the animals in her care and takes the job very seriously. If we could give her a six-star rating we would!
Sammi always does a great job taking care of the huge menagerie that we have. She's flexible and is easy to work with (and puts up with all the changing and long-winded instructions I leave). The animals all love her. She leaves great notes about how things went while we were gone. We've been using her for years and love her.

Gentle training practices is a humane and caring training alternative
For my experience my fees are very fair. I do one on ones and teach classes.
I genuinely care about the human and dog bond. I want you to be the best pair you can be.
I offer in home dog obedience and behavior modification training for all breeds. I have independent certification from the council for professional dog trainers. I have been training for over five years, using positive, science-based techniques that get fast results. I am offering group training at the Animal Humane Society. I have been taking care of animals ever since I was little. Granted I have only taken care of dogs and cats, but I can't complain because, I love those animals with my whole heart. All my life, I have owned a dog (two dogs so far), and they have literally been my life. I lived in Minneapolis growing up in high school, and I loved taking my yellow lab out for walks around the lakes I lived by. Everywhere that I have lived, I have always taken care of some of my neighbors' pets while they were on vacation, and Ive jumped at the opportunity to take care of other peoples animals. Plus, I honestly think that animals love me, as stuck-up as that sounds.
