WD did a great job helping us finish off two remodeled rooms in our basement. From tile to cutting and installing trim, we are very satisfied with the work and the rate was reasonable. We heartily recommend WD Home Repairs!
Dan installed a new ceiling in our basement. He was punctual, professional and did a terrific job.
I had my interior trim and doors installed and painted. I had started the process a couple years ago, but was having difficulty finishing the project with 3 young boys and all there activities. I hired Adventure 25 to come out and give a bid and they could start the project in about a week. The first part of the process was to finish the trim work and rip all the basement trim out and a couple of doors that had not been replaced yet. The trim work was done in a couple of days. The painting was delayed because of rainy weather. This is where the stress begins. The prep work that comes before painting can be a lot of work and time consuming. There was little to no prep of the trim. Lots of missed nail holes, lots of missed caulking and the stuff that was done was very poor. I was told that this is high quality paint and it will cover in one coat. I know better. It can take several coats to make the white trim look good. There was paint all over the wood floors, tile in kitchen, paint on the cabinets, paint on my trees outside, paint on the concrete driveway, paint on my fire pit. There seemed to be no care in the world. Jaimie kept telling me that we are not painters. I understand that but my 5 year could of done better. It was supposed to be rolled and instead there was pain brush marks all the trim. The one painter said he thought it would look cute to but swirls with his brush on the top of all the door trims. I met with Jaimie 4 different times to which he said how do I make this right? I would go through things with him and come home at the end of the day to find more of a mess and continued poor quality work. I have never seen anything like this. He would say it would be fixed but I don't think he would watch over his workers and forget to tell them things. I am stressed out beyond believe as my hope was to have this finished to spend more time with my kids. Instead I have to redo most of it. I had another contractor come out and told me it would be about 10 thousand to fix. He never had seen such poor quality work. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. Very nice person but I think he was over his head and always in a rush, hence the poor quality work. Since I cant pay 10 thousand to someone to fix it, I am now looking at a year or so to fix my trim. Very frustrated and angry customer.
I haven't had a lot of experience with contractors but this company was very professional from beginning to end. I had my bathroom remodeled and updated. They arrived to my home within the time frame that was given. They called to let me know when they were on their way. They cleaned up behind themselves and walked through with me and explained everything they did and options if I wished to change anything in the near future. I was so pleased with their work, I'm also getting a barn door installed and I'll be doing another review on how that installation goes as well. Overall, I am very pleased with their service and quality of work.
To Whom It May Concern: I write this letter in regard to Above All Construction as a general contractor. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Jaurez on the renovation of our kitchen 2013. I can recommend him highly and without reservation. Mr. Jaurez was directly available throughout the entire process. He handled all communication personally; this made the entire project progress smoothly. Throughout the course of the renovation, Mr. Jaurez was a consummate professional. He was accurate in his initial assessment of the scale and cost of our project. He was absolutely clear in his record keeping. He managed the sub-contractors well, checking completed work and immediately following up with any touch ups needed. Our job was done with care and precision in a timely manner. We are truly enjoying our new kitchen! Penny and Bill Mills
Picture this. ...a flooded house, with endless tussle with the insurance company and a gloomy moldy smell , until I met Julio. From hard wood floor installation, plumbing in the bathroom, installing a storm door, refinishing partial basement from water damage to helping with other handy jobs that were not even part of the agreement, because he is s perfectionist. The best part of it all was his professionalism. He treated my home with respect and I am happy to come home again.
Nick and Top Notch Construction had the flexibility to tailor the roofing contract to the property owner's needs and requests. The work was performed in a timely manner. The estimate was very much within market reason, and his crews could communicate in English with other contractors on site and with the tenants of the property. There was not damage to flower gardens and other vegetation. Well done.
Great Sub-Contractor on my project. Looking forward to more projects in the future.
Im so pleased to find Kel Heyl on Thumbtack as now he will be available to even more homeowners. Kel has done work on and in my home since 2004, from very large projects to small tasks. I love that he is such a careful, creative and meticulous craftsman his work is never slapdash. Ive always been very happy with the results, and can recommend him highly to anyone interested in having work done on their home by somebody who knows what hes doing, and will do it well. Built screened porch, based on his own design. (2004) Removed a chain-link fence and posts. (October 2004) Removed textured ceilings in living room and dining room. Ripped and installed new molding for both rooms. Installed a chandelier. (April 2010) Installed a new entry door to porch, including altering and adapting the jamb. (June 2009) Hung antique coat rack. (2008) Installed a new pre-hung access door for garage. (June 2009) Re-screened porch panels damaged by cat and raccoons. (July 2011) Hung a magnetic knife rack. Here's my overall experience with Kellington. 1. Chuck responded to my Thumbtack request within 15 minutes. 2. He was able to come over to visit my home for a free bid within two days. 3. He had the bid ready for me by the very next morning. 4. We scheduled it a couple of weeks out due to our availability 5. They said they will begin the work at 9am on a Monday 6. The day of work something came up and I coudn't stay home so I asked my in-laws if they could stay home for the contractors. 7. I was told that they showed up at 9am on the dot, said they could complete the work within 5-6 hours but actually finished everything including the cleanup in under 3.5 hrs and were gone by 12:30pm. 8. When I came home that evening, there was no way for me to know that someone was even there to do work except for the flawlessly repaired ceiling. Needless to say I am beyond impressed with their professionalism, honesty and punctuality and think that there is a small chance they just might be robots... LOL! Kidding aside, I wouldn't think twice before hiring them again and in fact, I have already asked Chuck if he could come by and give me a bid for another job.
You won't regret working with Casey. He is very responsive, professional, does great work and very fairly priced. We had some flooding in our basement and needed the trim reinstalled. He did that and cut some mold out of the wall. All-around we were very impressed and very happy we hired Casey.
We hired Nate to transform our unfinished, cluttered, basement into a functioning and comfortable family room. We appreciated the professionalism and communication that Nate provided. We worked together on a timeline, and discussed our budgeting needs, and Nate stuck to it. We now have a beautiful and functional family sitting room in our basement that was completed on time and was affordable. We are enjoying the extra space very much.
I am extremely satisfied with this contractor. Ken, the owner, convinced me to give them a shot after I was discouraged speaking with other contractors. He and Chris were willing to provide me a quote for exactly what I wanted for fair price. Other contractors tried to sell me on products that were either not to my taste or seemed inferior in quality. Homestead let me choose exactly what I wanted. Will did a great job from beginning to end. He answered all my questions and kept me in the loop step-by-step. The tile work on the floor and tub surround looks like a work of art. I would recommend Homestead to anyone who knows what they want and wants it done professionally at a fair price.
We had a basement room partially finished and soundproofed to use as a music space, and Preston was wonderful at listening to our needs and being flexible while we figured out what we wanted. He is easygoing and pleasant, great at communicating and then sticking to a timeline, and was careful to clean the path in and out as he worked. He brought in electricians and another hired hand for some of the work, all of whom were also nice. We had a great experience and we love the final outcome!
We had our basement finished and Tim came in and took a look around and gave us a firm quote. What we liked was how we were responsible for paying the costs of the supplies which was very transparent and allowed us to return unused supplies that we had left over. The quality of the work was great and the job was done faster than I thought. They cleaned up everyday and didn't leave a mess for us to take care of. He also recommended an electrician who we loved and has gone above and beyond anything we could have expected. The electrician replaced our old panel and set up all the wiring in the basement. He was even nice enough to help fix some old wiring issues. Tim and his crew were beyond exceptional and the straightforward way they dealt with any issues or delays was great. We would recommend Tim and his crew to anyone and hope to give referral business to them whenever we can.
Ryan is one of the exceptional contractors that is proactive and keeps to his schedule and definitely communicates to keep the customer in the loop
VanVleet finished our basement and I find myself just standing down there smiling in an area I used to avoid! The process of transforming the space was efficient and as painless as a project of that size can be.
I was referred to Beckman Remodeling through a friend and used them for my basement and bathroom remodel in a 1940s-era home. Corey and his team were able to turn a dated and drab basement into a contemporary, bright and and open floor plan that we have received many compliments on. Corey maintained his timeline, was attentive to our wishes and was direct and thorough in his change orders. We were always kept up-to-date if there were any setbacks or issues that came up that were not part of our initial conversation. Above all else, Corey is extremely trustworthy and has a great deal of integrity -- you can take his word when he says he'll do something. I would recommend his services to anyone looking for a quality remodeler.
Gordy took on my basement for me. This involved a lot of work, patching the foundation, moving pipes, electrical work, installing new windows, framing, spray foam and sheetrocking. Throughout the entire process, he has always kept me up to date on everything and is very professional, same with the plumber and electrician. Gordy has also been just great to work with. I could not say enough good things about the work and the process. I will for sure be hiring him again in the future for other house projects.
True Professionals, they worked with me every step of the way on my basement finishing project. I had some bad past experiences with other contractors so it was refreshing to work with these guys. Everything looks excellent. Exceeded all my expectations.
We had a ugly unfinished basement with a furnace in the middle of the room. After speaking with multiple contractors we selected Dpenn construction. David was able to creat a floor plan to get that out of the way, now we have a beautiful basement (bedroom, washroom, and bathroom with a walk-in shower). David was easy to work with, honest with pricing and scope of work, and we feel like we got a great value out of the work that was done. Would highly recommend.
