FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
FABAtv.com is great for that. My goal is to attend a face and body art convention, possibly this year. I have gone to several smaller face painting classes.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Since I was known as an artist in my church family, face painting kind of just fell into my lap when they asked me to do it for a couple of outreaches and theatrical productions. That made me curious about the profession so I looked into getting a professional face painting kit. When I started researching on-line, it opened my eyes to how far you could take this expertise. Then, a few years later, I met my friend who is an accomplished face painter, and she has been inspiring me ever since. She introduced me to the world of face painting and to a company that I now work for. Since then, I have been learning the business and building my own clientele.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I would say hospital events have been the most consistent. I have done many company picnics and holiday events. Many children's outreach events, festivals and birthday parties. Grand Openings for car dealerships; hospital, day care and holiday events have been the most recent cluster of jobs. But I do a variety. It is not always the same.
