FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I first chat with a new client, I love to get to know them on a personal level. I love to hear about their family, their upcoming wedding, or their newborn baby. I also love when clients ask about me because it helps to form a relationship. I want my clients to know that they can trust me and be open with me about their wants and needs. I also want people to know and experience my outgoing and friendly personality, to ensure that I am the right fit for them. I tend to do all of this chatting in person at a local coffee shop or bakery, and then proceed from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Northern Arizona University and graduated with honors with my Bachelor's Degree in Photography and a minor in Studio Art. Those four years allowed me to experience numerous different mediums in the realm of photography. I was shooting everything from body-builders to handcrafted dishes from local 5-star restaurants, and everything in between. All of this experience allowed me to become proficient and knowledgable in just about every aspect of photography. Now when I am photographing an engagement session or wedding and a curve-ball is thrown at me, I can stay calm and use my past experiences to work through it quickly with no stress.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get in to my line of work when I was very young. My favorite thing to do was look through family photos almost to the point where my mom would get mad because I always wanted to pull them out of the closet and make a mess of them! I remember telling my mom that I wanted to take pictures like those someday. I absolutely adore and cherish all of my family photos. Having something to physically show for all the wonderful and happy times in your life is a beautiful thing! That is what I like to do for people. Give them photographs that tell their story. Their love. Their happiness. Having that forever is priceless.
