I had the pleasure of working with Melissa for my daughters 18 month photos. It was a hot humid summer evening and both toddler and photographer gave an outstanding performance. I wanted to take it easy on Mel knowing she was just a few months out from having her own baby......that didn't happen.....In addition to my long list of creative requests, multiple outfit changes, glitter explosions, a Mad Hatter tea party, end of summer chest length grass and My little sprout running around, eating sweets, getting messy and waving sticks around like a caffeinated ninja princess......yet Melissa caught every darling moment. There is a true separation between people who "take good pictures" and "professional photographers" and this girl is the real deal. I have recommended her to many friends and family and I am already planning my winter family session. She was accommodating, fun and the rates are reasonable for this level of artistry and professionalism. I also really really like the unwater marked proofs so I can print my photos as I need them and wherever I choose, this is a pretty unheard of privilege you have as the client and I LOVE it! 5 stars, undoubtedly.

Absolutely wonderful! I though it'd be awkward taking pics with someone I never met, but she's so sweet & made it more than easy! Her artistic mind comes up with all the poses, & you just gotta look beautiful & let her shoot! Thank you Melissa!

Melissa took my wedding photos,. She was professional, she thought and acted dynamically when our ideas weren't working out. She was very prepared, and brought her experience to make the photo sessions perfect. She worked with our budget and made clutch shots all day long. I recommended her to the next three people I knew were having a wedding. Your occasion will be lessened when an unprofessional self acclaimed photog fails to show up on time or holds your negatives for ransom. Go with a professional, go with Melissa.

So fun to work with. Very creative. Is able to capture the personality of the photo subject perfectly. Allows the photo subject to inject their own ideas into the shoot.

Mine is quite simple. No hidden fees. No up selling. No fine print.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Always! I just got done with a two-day seminar about growing my business and another one about posing. I have a thirty day, wedding photography seminar coming up in February/March. I am taking a Coursera course regarding business fundamentals and I am ALWAYS learning, and staying inspired, from my peers in this industry.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
